When is Jake Gyllenhaal going to take his next bath? Perhaps the day after tomorrow.

Jake Gyllenhaal was just announced as the face of Prada’s new Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance. Hopefully, he’s stocking up on a few bottles, because — and we’re sorry to break it to you — the A-list actor is notoriously lax when it comes to showering. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Ashton Kutcher has disclosed some compromising information about his own cleanliness, just days after Mila Kunis, Dax Shepard, and Kristen Bell all exposed their slightly odd bathing habits.

Gyllenhaal, 40, told Vanity Fair on Thursday, August 5, that he is finding bathing less and less important. “I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.”

“I do believe, because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do [brush my teeth],” he said in a commercial for Prada’s Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance.

He also discussed the marvels of the loofah (natural loofahs are produced from a gourd in the cucumber family), which he says “baffles” him. “They feel like they’ve been made in a factory but, in fact, it’s just not true. Since I was young, it’s amazed me,” he said of their natural source.

Gyllenhaal isn’t the first star to open up about their infrequent bathing habits.

On Tuesday, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard confessed that they, too, wait for the stink before bathing their kids.

“Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up,” Bell, said on “The View.”

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, meanwhile, said this month that they only bathed their children, Wyatt, 6, and Dimitri, 4, as babies when they could “see the dirt on them.”

Kunis, 37, who married Kutcher in July 2015, said she “didn’t shower much” as a child due to a shortage of hot water, which she says has affected her parenting style.

The actress stated, ““I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.

Face cleansing is the sole exception. “I do have a tendency to throw some water on my face after a workout to get all the salts out,” Kutcher acknowledged.

While Kunis said, “I do wash my face twice a day.”
