Ryan Fischer, Lady Gaga’s dogwalker, has started a crowdfunding effort to assist fund the purchase of a new vehicle so he can continue his cross-country road trip that began two months ago.

On Tuesday, he posted an extensive message on his Instagram account describing his situation. He said that he had said his goodbyes to his Ford Falcon rental vehicle, which had accompanied him through some of his most trying periods. He stated, “At times I was scared. I was lonely. I felt abandoned and unsupported. I had long bouts of depression and doubt and self-pity. But those backroads that took me to desert campsites and Walmart lots and rest stops and friends and family to NY and back began to help me see why I had chosen to leave the security of the Hollywood Hills where I fought for my life and mobility.”

Fischer set out on his journey shortly after being released from a Los Angeles hospital. The former dog walker had to undergo surgery after getting shot in the chest by armed dog-nappers as he tried to protect the “Shallow” star’s French bulldogs.

He also stated that he has to concentrate on improving his emotional and mental health, which he is already doing. “Having that understanding helped me frame what I need from the rest of this sabbatical: getting a van and exploring this country while seeking out communities that support the process of growing from trauma,” he explained.

“For me, this includes retreat centres, trauma programs, queer healers, creatives and spiritual leaders. And I can’t wait to honestly share in the process and heal with you all along for the ride through writings, discussions and quirky videos (and maybe an interpretive dance or two).”

“All that time spent reclaiming my body, I now needed to be equally devoted to strengthening my emotional and mental health.” Fischer wrote, speaking from the heart.

Fischer’s GFM is attempting to raise $40,000 in order to purchase a new vehicle and cover travel expenses while he continues his recovery from the attack. “With no vehicle, apartment, and having run out of savings and surviving on donations from generous loved ones, I am humbly asking for your help,” he wrote roughly a third of the way through his six-month trek to find peace. “This is not an easy thing to ask, but I have started to realize sharing your vulnerability with others is exactly when radical change begins to occur for everyone involved.”

Despite the fact that Fischer did not mention Gaga, the 35-year-old singer and longtime friend of Fischer was tagged by several of her fans.

“I set up a GoFundMe page (in Bio) in supporting a van purchase, travel expenses and welcome all input on retreats for trauma throughout the country,” he continued.

In connection with the shooting and dognapping, five individuals were apprehended. The dogs were returned safely, but Fischer’s lung ruptured during his recuperation, necessitating surgery and partial removal. Fischer had received more than $4,600 of his $40,000 target from 66 contributors who gave ranging from $10 to $1,000 at the time of publication.

After the shooting incident in February, Gaga referred to Fischer as a “hero.” Fischer was shot four times outside his West Hollywood home while walking three of the pop star’s pets. According to reports, officers discovered him conscious but barely breathing before transporting him to the hospital in a “grave” state.

“Question: Why won’t Lady Gaga help you out? ” one follower asked. “She was willing to provide $500,000 for the safe return of her dogs, so I’d think that giving you $40,000 would be a drop in the bucket 🤔”
