Jennifer Aniston, who starred in the iconic sitcom Friends, has reacted to viral TikTok videos of a doppelganger imitating her work.

After a friend sent her a video of TikToker Lisa Tranel – whose handle is @she_plusthree – lip-syncing to Rachel Green and striking an eerie resemblance to the actress, the actor was a little “freaked out.”

So far, the video has received 6.8 million views and 772,000 likes since it was released on June 30. Insider previously reported that the clip showed Tranel lip-syncing with a season 3 episode of “Friends” titled “The One Where Chandler Can’t Remember Which Sister” in which Rachel, Aniston’s character on the program, considers quitting her job.

Rachel said to Monica Geller (Courteney Cox) in the 1997 episode, she said, “I want to quit. But then I think I should stick it out. Then, I think why would such a person stay in such a demeaning job just because it’s remotely related to the field they are interested in.”

“A friend sent that to me,” Aniston said of the footage in an interview with InStyle. “I watched it, and it freaked me out.”

The Morning Show star also discussed Tranel’s likeness to her: “She’s not exactly like me, but of all the people who have said, ‘I look just like you,’ she was pretty close. Sometimes you say, ‘Thanks?’ And other times it’s, ‘Wow, thank you.’”

The actress also praised Vanessa Bayer’s portrayal of her on Saturday Night Live. “I remember someone saying, ‘Did you see the impression of you on SNL?’ My first response was, ‘What? No, I’m not impression-worthy.’ They played it for me and, ‘That is so not the way I sound.’ Then I was like, ‘Uh, oh. Oh, I see.’”

“Everyone said it was a compliment, but I had to really get my brain around that and tuck my little tail between my legs, thinking I’m being made fun of. That’s always the gut instinct: “They’re making fun of me.”

On July 3, Tranel mentioned her lip-sync video in an Instagram story. “For the record, I don’t really feel like I look like Jennifer Aniston and my family really doesn’t either,” she stated.

The mother of three is a General Manager at Strech Zone Southlake, with over 156,000 TikTok followers and 21,000 Instagram followers. Tanel is from Altus, but now lives in Oak Cliff, Dallas, according to HITC. On Instagram, the fitness fanatic frequently posts videos with her family and friends as well as workout videos.

One individual commented on the post, saying: “Wow. You got blessed with your genes she’s a beautiful human to look like.”

“Wait, so you’re telling me this isn’t actually Jennifer Aniston?” another inquired.

In 2016, Aniston and Bayer appeared together on an episode of Saturday Night Live. She playfully asked the comedian to “move on” from the impression.
