Amber Heard claimed Johnny Depp gave her “two black eyes” the day before she appeared on James Corden’s Late, Late Show, but her make-up artist told a court today that she had “no visible” injuries.

Samantha McMillen, Heard’s stylist, claimed she spent “much of the afternoon and early evening” of December 16, 2015 with the actor as she prepared to appear on James Corden’s The Late Late Show. She stated that she could “clearly see” that Heard was free of any scars, scratches, or bruises.

Depp, 57, is accused of being abusive against Heard during an altercation on December 15 at their Los Angeles penthouse, which he disputes. The Hollywood star is suing The Sun’s publisher, News Group Newspapers, and executive editor Dan Wootton for calling him a “wife beater” in an April 2018 article.

“I could see clearly that Ms Heard did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body,” McMillen said in a witness statement, adding that she saw Heard “in good light, at close range, wearing no makeup” the next day.

McMillan added: “After the show, Ms Heard said to me ‘can you believe I just did that show with two black eyes?’. Ms Heard did not have any black eyes, and had been visibly uninjured throughout the day and at that moment.”

‘I later learned that Ms Heard had accused Mr Depp, in court filings and the media, of violently abusing her the previous night, December 15, 2015,’ stated Ms McMillen, who has also dressed Brie Larson and Ryan Gosling.

As she was leaving Heard’s office, the stylist overheard Amber urging her friend, Raquel Pennington, to make sure the photographs made it onto her computer. Amber was accompanied on the show by a buddy. McMillen explained that she had no idea about the photos she was referring to.

Heard’s legal team then released photos of her with facial injuries around the time of the claimed incident, although they are undated.

Meanwhile, despite Heard’s claims that Depp had attacked her three days prior, McMillen claimed that she had no facial injuries. This is said to have occurred in 2016.

“I went to the house in the afternoon and encountered Ms Heard,” McMillen states in his statement. “Ms Heard was not wearing makeup. There were no visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body. I saw her by the kitchen door during daylight in Mr Depp’s house.”

“She gave me a hug, crying. After hugging me, she began to have an intense conversation in Spanish with Mr Depp’s housekeeper, Hilda Vargas.”

Ms McMillen learned three days later through the media that Heard had gone to court with ‘prominent injuries visible on her face,’ alleging that Depp had caused them.

However, the stylist said that “on May 24, 2016, when I was with her, she (Ms Heard) did not have those marks on her face.”

In Depp’s libel action against The Sun tabloid over an April 2018 article, Ms McMillen was asked to give testimony by videolink from the United States.

McMillen was summoned to give testimony twice, according to Sasha Wass, who represents The Sun’s proprietors, News Group Newspapers (NGN). Amber had been seen and met by the stylist recently.
