Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce has been filled with drama, and the latest development is no exception.

Jolie has accused Pitt of failing to pay “meaningful” child support, according to court documents filed on Tuesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Jolie’s attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean, stated in a brief that Pitt has not paid any “meaningful” child support for a year and a half during the ongoing divorce.

The court documents did not define the meaning of “meaningful” support.

Jolie plans to file a request for a court order to establish a retroactive child support order.

Pitt’s spokesman did not immediately comment on the allegations, but a source close to the actor told Vanity Fair that he has “fulfilled his commitments.”

It is unknown what, if any, agreement Jolie and Pitt have reached regarding child support.

Under California law, each parent is legally responsible for the financial support of their child based on the agreement reached between the couple.

Jolie and Pitt were married in 2014 after being in a relationship for over a decade. They have six children together: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.

Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Since then, their divorce proceedings have been marked by controversy and legal battles.

In 2018, a judge ordered Jolie to allow their children to have a “healthy and normal” relationship with Pitt.

The following year, Jolie accused Pitt of failing to pay “meaningful” child support, which led to a temporary custody agreement being reached in December 2019.

Despite the ongoing legal issues, both Jolie and Pitt have continued to focus on their careers.

Jolie has starred in several successful movies, including the Disney film “Maleficent” and the “Tomb Raider” franchise.

She has also been recognized for her humanitarian work, receiving several awards for her efforts to promote human rights and combat sexual violence.
