In case you missed it, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have got shared custody of their children, and he’s “incredibly happy.” But Angelina is said to be “bitterly disappointed” by the decision, and a source tells Us Weekly that she will “never forgive” Brad.

The mother of six has slammed a temporary order given by a judge on May 13 that grants the former couple joint custody of their children, with the exception of Maddox, who is 19 and no longer a minor.

The couple had been dating for nearly ten years and married for less than two when they surprised the world by announcing their divorce in 2016. Their divorce is still pending as they fight for custody of five of their six children: Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienn.

“Angelina’s testimony lacked credibility,” the source adds. “The decision was based on extensive testimonies from people who spent time with the kids and by highly respected professionals.”

The insider went on to say that Angelina “believes it’s far from over and that justice will prevail.”

Meanwhile, a different insider told Entertainment Tonight that “All Brad ever wanted was to have joint custody of his children and he is relieved that the court ruled in his favor. This is a huge deal given the prior arrangement with the children. Brad can’t wait to spend more time with them. He’s incredibly happy.”

“Needless to say he’s delighted about the overall verdict though, and can’t wait to make up for lost time with the kids,” the insider revealed.

“Brad has a lot of exciting stuff he wants to plan, like visits to see his family in the Missouri and trips with the kids to his beach house near Santa Barbara,” the source said.

“He’s excited to have a July 4 celebration with them and hopes to take them abroad on a big summer vacation when it’s safe to travel.

“Until now it’s been difficult to have extended time away with the kids because Angie needed them back at her place at the earliest opportunity.

“Now though, Brad will be able to enjoy a lot more quality time with them and more weekends and overnights.

“There will be sensitivities and some awkwardness to adapt to as they figure out a new routine, he accepts that, and it saddens him that Maddox has no interest in seeing him out of loyalty to his mom.

“Brad has an extremely close bond with Shiloh and the twins though, and he hopes to spend more time with Zahara now, as well as Pax if he’s open to it.”

Angelina, 45, and Brad, 57, have been at odds since their 2016 divorce, with the actress fighting for custody of their children after accusations that Brad was “abusive” to their then-15-year-old son Maddox on a private jet journey from France to the United States.

It was reported in late May that Judge Ouderkirk had tentatively granted Oscar winner Brad additional custody of the former couple’s five youngest children. Angelina, on the other hand, launched a court complaint against the judgment and Ouderkirk’s “continuing purview” over the matter. She stated in sealed documents that Brad has a “history of domestic violence,” and that the Judge has refused to hear the youngsters’ testimony.

The UN special envoy earlier tried to have Ouderkirk removed from the case, arguing in August 2020 that the judge failed to reveal “ongoing business and professional relationships” with Pitt and his legal team. She also alleged in May that the court had refused to allow her children to testify.

“Judge Ouderkirk denied Ms. Jolie a fair trial, improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the children’s health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case,” the actress’ legal team said in court filings filed on May 24.

In a February interview with British Vogue, the actress said, “The past few years have been pretty hard. I’ve been focusing on healing our family. It’s slowly coming back, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body. I’m not there yet. But I hope to be. I’m planning on it.”

The former couple have not to reach an agreement on how to share their multi-million dollar assets or custody of their five minor children.

Us Weekly previously claimed that during their protracted custody fight, Maddox appeared to take Angelina’s side.

According to legal experts, the legal battle might go for the next six years.
