Tallulah Willis, actress and daughter of Hollywood stars Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, is using her platform to bring awareness to mental health issues and body positivity.

Recently, she has opened up about her struggles with body dysmorphia and the resentment she felt towards her father because of her appearance.

Willis has been candid about her battle with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) for years.

She shared in a 2014 interview with The Daily Mail that she went to rehab for her eating disorder and BDD.

Willis said that when she was younger, she was diagnosed with body dysmorphia and felt ugly all the time.

Despite being told many times that it wasn’t true, she couldn’t shake off the feeling.

To compensate for her insecurities, Willis started dressing provocatively to get attention.

“You could tell me a thousand times that it’s not true, but it’s true, and that’s OK,” she said.

“So that made me start to dress really like showing off my b–bs and my b*tt and showing off those things that I was getting attention for.”

However, Willis realized that this behavior was not healthy and had to learn to accept herself.

She revealed that it took her until recently to feel beautiful by just covering up and showing only her face.

“The fact that all the attention had to be on my face was so scary for me because I always wanted to distract people,” she admitted.

Willis also expressed resentment towards her father for being compared to him physically instead of her mother.

She revealed in a recent Instagram post that she punished herself for not looking like her mom after being told she looked like Bruce Willis since she was born.

“I resented the resemblance as I believed wholly my ‘masculine’ face was the sole reason for my unlovability – FALSE!”

she exclaimed.

“I was/am inherently valuable and worthy, at any life stage, at any size, with any hairdo!

(As are you.)”

Despite her struggles, Willis has found ways to cope with her body dysmorphia.

She advises her followers to focus on healing their inner wounds before trying to change their outer appearance.

She also suggests covering mirrors or taking them down to avoid obsessing over one’s reflection.

Additionally, breaks from social media and finding a supportive community can also help.

Tallulah Willis is a role model for many people who struggle with body image issues and mental health problems.

She represents the idea that everyone is inherently valuable and worthy regardless of their physical appearance.
