On Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian expressed her apologies to her family for the treatment they received from her ex-husband, Kanye West, also known as Ye.

The conversation was prompted by a text from an unnamed friend, informing her of Ye’s new song about her.

During the family dinner, Kim shared her concerns with Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, her mother Kris Jenner, Kris’s boyfriend Corey Gamble, and Kourtney’s then-fiancé Travis Barker.

“It means he’s talking mad shit about me and probably saying whatever,” Kim said.

Khloé tried to comfort Kim, saying “Most men are not trashing the mother of their kids like that publicly. We don’t have to sit here and throw stones back. Just, we take it on the chin.”

Kris added that when anyone says “disparaging” things about any member of the family it “hurts all of us.”

Kris warned that “one day, your kids are gonna read all of it and see all of it.”

Kim acknowledged this, saying “I do recognize the impact that my relationship has had on my family. And that I’ve never had the opportunity to just say ‘I’m sorry guys.'”

Kim told her family that she “protected” her relationship for a long time, but promised “I will never let that happen to you guys again.”

She added “for once” in her life, “I feel strong. I’m not gonna let anyone treat you guys a way, or myself.”

One instance of Ye’s negative behavior towards Kim’s family was when he referred to Kris as “Kris Jong-Un” in a tweet, referencing North Korea’s controversial leader Kim Jong-un.

Kim’s apologies came after Ye began speaking negatively about her in public, including on the “Drink Champs” podcast where he commented on her hosting duties on “Saturday Night Live.”

He said “‘SNL’ making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off and I never have seen the papers. We’re not even divorced.”

The song referred to in “The Kardashians” is likely “Eazy,” released in November 2021 during Kim’s relationship with Pete Davidson.

In the song, Ye raps “God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass (Who?).”
