Kim Kardashian insists she has never had a nose job: ‘Everyone thought I did’

Kim Kardashian West wants to clear the air about her nose.

She has rejected allegations of a nose job, praising sophisticated make-up tricks for her looks.

The 38-year-old reality personality confessed she had never modified her nose at a workshop with cosmetic artist Mario Dedivanovic in Los Angeles over the weekend.

She said, “I never had my nose done. Everyone thought I did, and I said, ‘Wait until I have kids because [that’s when] your real features come out.’”

‘I said you will see when I have kids, they will have the same nose as me,’ she subsequently tweeted, attempting to clarify her somewhat confusing reasoning.

Kim has been accused of undergoing rhinoplasty for years, and while she understands why people believe she has, she says it is not the truth.

The 38-year-old reality star stated that she enjoys laser treatments for stretch marks and even filmed her first Botox session on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2010.

The mother of three believes that different lighting alters the appearance of her nose.

Mario, who has been contouring Kim’s face for years, revealed to a group of aspiring makeup artists that the mother of three has a tiny hump on her nose that is typically concealed by cosmetics.

“Pictures, I swear, I look at them and would be like, ‘Wow, the bump looks so much bigger in some pictures than in others,’” Kim added.

Dr. Darren M. Smith, a cosmetic surgeon in New York City who hasn’t treated Kim, told DailyMail.com that there are numerous reasons why her nose has altered over time – and that a nose job might be to thank for her “more refined” appearance.

‘A rhinoplasty (nose job) would explain the more refined appearance of her nose that we’ve been seeing recently,’ he said. ‘However, the changes to her nose, while significant, are not that dramatic.’

Dr. Smith said that these modifications may be made using cosmetics, lighting, or even “liquid rhinoplasty,” which involves changing the curve of the nose with fillers.

‘Her nose’s consistent appearance, however, does make a permanent change like surgery seem more likely,’ he noted.

Kardashian West also revealed her technique to preventing smile wrinkles on her face during the six-hour Master Class.

“Don’t smile,” the celebrity stated flatly.

“‘I don’t want to smile for them. I don’t want to be out,’” Kardashian West said. “Even if I was more confident, I just didn’t feel like being that girl who was going to be smiling for every photo. It changed my mood; it changed who I was; it changed my personality a lot.”

During an interview on Nightline in 2010, the make-up entrepreneur said, “I’ve never had my nose done. But what’s funny is about my nose, it’s my biggest insecurity. I always want to get my nose done.

“I had them take the pictures, he showed me what it would look like, and it just didn’t… I wouldn’t look the same.”

Kim described how her 5-year-old daughter, North, is following in her footsteps when ET met up with her at her KKW Beauty and Fragrance pop-up shop in Costa Mesa, California, in December.

“I actually had to put her on our P.R. list and get her her own set of makeup this time, because she destroys all of mine when she sees it, and then I can’t use it for myself,” Kim confessed. “So, she definitely loves makeup. If she loves it enough, she can definitely take it over, whatever she wants to do [when] she is old enough, she can do.”

Dr. David Cangello, a New York City-based cosmetic surgeon, believed that Kim’s ever-changing nose may be the consequence of contouring.

He told DailyMail.com, ‘I don’t think she had a rhinoplasty,’ noting that her nose was ‘relatively small and nicely shaped’ as early as 2008.

‘Since then, it doesn’t appear as though the nose has changed much,’ he added. ‘I do agree that in some pictures it looks like she has more definition to the bridge of the nose, which makes one wonder if she had a procedure.’

‘What I think is more likely is that the added definition is due to either makeup contouring or photo lighting/alteration.’

Dermal fillers can also be used to enhance projection and definition to the nose, although he does not suggest it to his Cangello Plastic Surgery patients.

‘They are not a good long term solution for this because over time they make the nose look wider and the skin looks thicker,’ he explained. ‘Fillers to the nose really are only good for fixing minor contour irregularities of the nose.

‘So I think that if Kim had been adding fillers to her nose for any lengthy period of time, she would not have the nice definition to the bridge of her nose that she has in some photos.’
