Nicole Kidman’s fashion week experience was by far the worst she’d ever had. On Thursday, Sept. 12, the Oscar-winning actress, 46, was struck down on a Manhattan sidewalk outside the Carlyle Hotel following a weird collision with a paparazzo on a bicycle. The redheaded Australian actress, who was clad in high heels and a sultry grey minidress at the time of the incident, was photographed suffering a tumble.

Keith Urban’s wife was heard screaming “Oh, my god!” and “Ow, ow!” as she was helped up by a bodyguard and her publicist.

Kidman was fortunately unharmed, however she was spotted clutching her ankle and seemed rattled up after the incident. Carl Wu, the paparazzo, would be ticketed for bicycling on the sidewalk, but police claimed they wouldn’t be able to arrest him. Kidman is expected to file charges, according to TMZ.

Kidman was assisted to her feet and subsequently stated, “I’m up, I’m walking around, but I was shaken.”

The scene was visited by police and paramedics. According to E! News, the 19-year-old biker was arrested and then released after being charged with careless driving, riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, and without wearing a helmet. The accident happened at 3:55 p.m. local time.

“She looked hurt, but there wasn’t any blood,” the observer says. “She put her shoes back on and ran into the Carlyle.”

Carl Wu wasn’t having his first tense meeting with a superstar. According to the Boston Globe, Wu “allegedly got into a scuffle” with one of Lady Gaga’s bodyguards in a parking garage in 2010.

Wu claims he was attacked and thrown to the ground by one of the pop star’s bodyguards after attempting to photograph Gaga. The incident was supported by Ritz-Carlton security guards, who claimed that Gaga’s bodyguard only struck and shoved Wu after he was asked to leave and “became confrontational” with the bodyguards. Wu subsequently informed the Boston Globe that he had a cut on his mouth and hand injuries, despite Boston police saying that they “did not see any injuries.” Following the event, a Tumblr called “F—- You Carl Wu” was launched, possibly by one of Gaga’s Little Monsters.

Kidman, who earned an Oscar for her role in The Hours, was previously spotted at New York Fashion Week, when Calvin Klein debuted its spring 2014 collection, wearing the same grey dress and gold belt.

Later in the day, she went to an after-party at the city’s Spring Studios.
