Nicole Kidman regrets not having 10 children

Nicole Kidman, the 54-year-old actress and mother of four, has expressed her regret about not having more children in an interview with Marie Claire Australia.

Kidman shared her feelings about her desire to have a big family, saying: “I wish I’d had more children, but I wasn’t given that choice.”

Kidman and her husband Keith Urban have two children together, Sunday Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 10.

Additionally, Kidman has two children, Isabella and Connor, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, who are now 28 and 26 respectively.

“I would’ve loved 10 kids,” Kidman tells Marie Claire Australia.

“But that’s okay because I get to mother other children. I have six nieces and nephews and I’m godmother to 12. I love mothering, I love kids.”

Kidman’s love for children is evident in her family dynamic, as she has three of her sister Antonia’s children living with her while she films the new Hulu series Nine Perfect Strangers in Australia.

Kidman has been open about her struggles with fertility in the past.

She suffered an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage while in her 20s while she was married to Tom Cruise.

She has spoken about the grief and pain that comes with experiencing a miscarriage, saying: “The loss of a miscarriage is not talked about enough.

That’s massive grief to certain women.

There’s an enormous amount of pain and an enormous amount of joy on the other side of it.”

Despite her struggles with fertility, Kidman has found joy in mothering other children.

She has six nieces and nephews and is godmother to 12 children.

Kidman has expressed her love for children, saying: “They’re quirky, funny and unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way.”

Kidman’s love for children extends to her work as an actress.

Her most recent role in Nine Perfect Strangers is a testament to this.

The show follows nine strangers who come together at a wellness resort, with Kidman playing the role of Masha, a mysterious wellness guru.

The show has been praised for its exploration of mental health and wellness.

Kidman’s desire to have a big family is not uncommon, but she has been open about the challenges she has faced.

In a 2018 interview with Tatler, Kidman spoke about the “yearning” she felt to have children, saying: “It’s a huge, aching yearning.”

Despite the challenges, Kidman has found joy in motherhood and in being a mother figure to other children.
