The recent social media activity of Jason Momoa, following Johnny Depp on Instagram, has sparked rumors that Amber Heard may have resorted to sponsoring paid media hate campaigns to tarnish the image of the Aquaman actor.

This is due to the fact that fans expected Momoa to support Heard during her recent defamation case against Depp, given the two had worked together in the Aquaman 2 film.

However, during the trial, Amber Heard stated that she had to “fight extremely hard” to keep her role in the planned Aquaman sequel, following allegations of sexual misconduct against Johnny Depp.

The former President of DC Films, Walter Hamada, testified that the decision to reduce Heard’s involvement in the film was due to other reasons, unrelated to the case between Depp and Heard.

Hamada stated that the sequel was originally intended to be a “buddy comedy” between Aquaman and Ocean Master and that the lack of chemistry between Heard and Momoa led to the decision to recast and limit Mera’s role in the film.

The rumors surrounding Heard’s alleged hate campaign against Momoa stem from her apparent dissatisfaction with the actor’s support of Depp.

Fans have speculated that Heard may be spending money to spread hate against Momoa through fake social media accounts.

This has caused confusion among fans, as Heard claims to be broke when it comes to paying Johnny Depp, despite having spent large amounts of money to regain her popularity following the conclusion of the trial.

In 2018, Johnny Depp sued Heard for defamation over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in which she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse.

The jury found that the editorial was about Depp and awarded him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

Heard was also awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.
