During the press tour for The Fate of the Furious, Charlize Theron is baffled as to why Vin Diesel keeps bringing up their kiss scene from the film.

The actress appeared on The Ellen Show, looking somewhat irritated as she discussed the incident, which Diesel has dubbed the “biggest moment in trailer history”

Diesel remarked in a recent interview with USA Today that the kiss was a hit: “I was definitely not complaining. Charlize Theron is not a bad kissing partner to have. Do I know she enjoyed it? Oh, my God, yeah. A kiss cannot lie, lips don’t lie. No, they didn’t. She OWNED it.”

In the film, Theron portrays Cipher, a cyber terrorist who succeeds in turning Diesel’s character against his family. The kiss sequence mainly involves Theron’s character compelling Diesel to kiss her.

“I just don’t get it,” Theron said. “I mean, you can see it. My hand is forcing his face, which is what the movie’s about. He’s in love with Letty, Michelle Rodriguez’s character. I’m the crazy chick that’s doing this horrible thing to him and, as he should’ve, his character is just standing there frozen, like a dead fish.”

“That’s what I was kissing, and he’s literally going around saying that I had the best time of my life … It’s insane!” Theron continued in disbelief. “I like a little bit more movement in my men. … We’re confusing reality with fiction … It looks like I’m assaulting his face with my mouth.”

Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are being kept apart for the film’s pre-opening publicity tour, which includes interviews, red-carpet appearances, and photo ops all around the world, according to several entertainment sources.

“They’re keeping them separated as much as possible,” a press tour insider told The Hollywood Reporter.

“In my house, he’s uncle Dwayne,” Diesel said recently, putting to rest rumors of a dispute between him and co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Johnson also stated that the ramifications had been settled. “All the other stuff kind of just has a way of working itself out,” he said on Entertainment Tonight.

“Just like in life, you have different philosophies and people have different fundamental philosophies on how you do things,” he remarked. “And again, the most important thing is the movie.”
