Michelle Pfeiffer is as talented today as she was when she won Miss Orange County in 1978. Pfeiffer has the acting chops to go along with her award-winning beauty, making her a long-lasting star. Despite a successful career that includes Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations, Pfeiffer has one job that she isn’t particularly fond of. Ironically it was one of the breakout parts of her career.

Since her groundbreaking portrayal as Elvira in the Al Pacino-led mafia epic Scarface, Pfeiffer has been a household figure. Pfeiffer has also starred in a number of significant films in the decades after the release of that 1983 success, including Married to the Mob, The Fabulous Baker Boys, Dangerous Liaisons, Batman Returns, The Age of Innocence, and 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express.

Pfeiffer was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in The Fabulous Baker Boys, but she didn’t win. She was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2017 for her work on The Wizard of Lies, a film starring Robert DeNiro about Bernie Madoff.

Fans may find it difficult to understand that Pfeiffer disliked one of the films she appeared in after so much success.

Grease 2, the sequel to the 1978 musical comedy Grease, is the project Michelle Pfeiffer regrets the most, yet it also presented her with her first prominent cinematic role. When it was initially published in 1982, the sequel was a critical and commercial disaster, and it is often regarded as a really dismal follow-up to its nearly universally adored predecessor.

Given how many sequels fail, you’d think Pfeiffer let it go soon enough. However, it appears that she still has a sting in her tail about that film.

Pfeiffer, who plays Stephanie Zinone (the Pink Ladies’ leader) in the film, mostly avoided the widespread criticism that Grease 2 got from both reviewers and general audiences.

Pfeiffer has stated that she despises Grease 2. “I hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was,” she remarked. I was young at the time and didn’t know any better.”

Given how poorly Grease 2 was regarded upon its first release, it’s easy to see why Pfeiffer is still skeptical of the botched sequel. She might be shocked to find, though, that the movie has become something of a cult favorite among certain fans. Of course, based on her prior views on Grease 2, it’s unlikely that this would much alter Pfeiffer’s assessment of the picture.
