Michelle Pfeiffer hates herself for turning down ‘Thelma & Louise’

Actress Michelle Pfeiffer has revealed that she regrets turning down lead roles in two major films, “Thelma & Louise” and “The Silence of the Lambs.”

In an interview with Variety, Pfeiffer, who has had a successful acting career spanning four decades, said that she still finds it difficult to watch “Thelma & Louise” due to the decision.

The actress was unable to take on either of the roles due to scheduling conflicts with other films.

Pfeiffer earned an Emmy nomination for her role in the Madoff biopic “The Wizard of Lies” and received critical acclaim for “Mother!”

She has also recently appeared in “Murder on the Orient Express” and is set to star in the upcoming film “Ant-Man and Wasp.”

Despite her successful career, Pfeiffer revealed that she took a break from acting in the 2000s due to the challenges of raising her children while working on location.

She explained, “It was just as my kids got older it got harder.

“They were school age, and I couldn’t schlep all around the world and disrupt their routines.

“I set down so many restrictions about when and where I could be on location that I became kind of unhirable.”

Now that her children are older and she is an “empty nester,” Pfeiffer has decided to return to work.

She told Variety, “There seems to be a lot of me out there at the moment. I just decided to revisit going back to work now.”

Despite missing out on the roles in “Thelma & Louise” and “The Silence of the Lambs,” Pfeiffer has had a long and varied career in Hollywood.

She has appeared in numerous films, including “Love Field,” for which she received an Oscar nomination.

Pfeiffer has also been recognized for her work on stage and television, earning multiple awards and accolades throughout her career.
