Private investigator Becky Aldrige believes that a box of Marilyn Monroe documents, sealed until 2039, could prove that the actress was murdered by her psychiatrist, Dr Ralph Greenson.

Greenson found Monroe’s body and is suspected by some to have administered the overdose of barbiturates that caused her death in 1962.

Aldrige discovered “Box 29” at UCLA library, where it will remain inaccessible for another 20 years, despite containing files about Monroe.

Aldrige claims that Greenson killed Monroe after she threatened to disclose affairs with the Kennedy brothers.
Aldrige has launched a petition calling for the official finding of “probable suicide” to be struck from Monroe’s death certificate and for a homicide investigation to be conducted.

She has also requested that the Attorney General speak to two witnesses who were not interviewed at the time of Monroe’s death: LAPD Sgt.

Iannone, who later became Chief of the Beverly Hills Police Department, and Patricia Newcomb, a friend of Monroe.

Newcomb left the US within six months of Monroe’s funeral, while Iannone dismissed other officers from Monroe’s home on the day she died.
Although Monroe’s death was officially ruled a probable suicide due to acute barbiturate poisoning, Aldrige believes that affairs with President John F.

Kennedy and his brother Bobby could have led to Greenson being asked to give her an overdose.

She argues that there is no reason why Monroe’s death certificate should not be changed from “probable suicide” to “murder”.

Aldrige notes that in Monroe’s previous suicide attempts, she had left notes, but none existed on the night of her death.

She also cites mysterious bruises on Monroe’s hips as evidence of violence.
Aldrige says that Murray, Monroe’s housekeeper, had called Greenson before the emergency services when she saw a light on in Monroe’s bedroom.

Aldrige also claims that Murray had a master key, so it would not have been necessary for Greenson to break into the room.

Murray’s role in the case has previously been questioned due to her involvement in the destruction of Monroe’s diary.
Aldrige was astonished to find that Greenson had kept a box of papers related to Monroe.

She claims that the psychiatrist was “obsessed” with the actress and that the box contained every book, magazine and newspaper article ever written about her, letters from people urging him to kill himself and confidential medical files.

Aldrige also found letters to Monroe from other people and letters she wrote to others.
Aldrige believes that an ambulance arrived at Monroe’s home, but that before she could be taken to hospital, Greenson intervened and administered a fatal injection.

She argues that the people involved, the time frame of events and the true cause of death have remained consistent for over 50 years.

Aldridge concludes: “Marilyn deserves this change”.
Conspiracy theories about Monroe’s death have long circulated.
