John Travolta is back in the spotlight for the first time in a long time, and it’s not because of some salacious story. Savages, which also stars Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, and Taylor Kitsch and was released this weekend, is the newest film from the Pulp Fiction actor. The film has garnered mixed reviews so far, but it has sparked a lot of discussion.
The film is based on Don Winslow’s best-selling novel and tells the story of two Laguna Beach marijuana traffickers and their shared lover who is abducted by a Mexican drug gang.
Blake Lively discusses her hot se* scenes in Oliver Stone’s Savages with Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson.
Blake tells Jeanne Wolf’s Hollywood, “I think some women think one is enough but that’s what was nice about this movie. You would think it would be, it’s normally the guy with the two women.”
While three* some moments were “very intense,” the blonde beauty was glad to finish the sensual aspects of the film first since she quickly connected with the actors.
The se* sequences were shot on the first day of production, according to Blake. “It’s not the sort of office work that I signed up for,” she quips.
She said: “They were very intense and very scary and we shot them on the first day and I mean if you don’t feel comfortable with a person after that it’s going to be a long road. It was lucky that we got to do that first ultimately because we really bonded.”
Although the film has some disturbing sequences, Blake describes it as a “exciting challenge” to film.
“The content is something that’s really scary, you know especially someone who’s so close with their family and has a very young audience,” she told HollywoodLife, “But to do something this violent, this graphic, this racy is something that’s scary but also it was such an exciting challenge.”
“When you hear these people and hear that it’s their real life story, it gives you such a responsibility to do it well and do it right.”
