Ariana Grande has deactivated her Twitter account, and Arianators are “very concerned.”

After nearly 12 years on the platform, the pop singer disabled her account on December 24. Little is known about what influenced Grande’s decision to abandon the app because she did not notify her followers of her departure.

“This account doesn’t exist. Try searching for another,” the official @arianagrande account now says. “Something went wrong, try again,” the app states on the mobile version. It’s worth noting that if she had actually deleted her Twitter account, her username with the verification sign would not show.

Since the “7 Rings” singer is so public and honest on social media, many admirers are confused as to why Ariana Grande disabled her Twitter account.

Maybe she’s revamping her social media presence to usher in a new musical period in her career, it wouldn’t be the first time an artist did so.

Alternatively, she may simply want to decompress for the holidays by taking a break and spending time with her new spouse Dalton Gomez.

Some assume it’s due to cyberbullying, while others feel new music is on the way.

Her Instagram account is still operational, and she continues to post on the network.

She hasn’t addressed the topic on Twitter directly. On her Instagram Story, she did post some Christmas greetings for her followers, writing, “Happy merry!!! Thinking of you all and wishing you the warmest, happiest and healthiest always. 🙂 Love you so very much.”

When Ariana’s absence was noted, Arianators turned to social media, posting images of her now-blank page with the text ‘Something went wrong, try again’ welcoming them instead.

One user posted the blank page alongside the message ‘Ariana’s Twitter account has been deactivated,’ while another said that now that the music mogul is no longer on the network, ‘there’s no point of Twitter anymore.’

‘Ariana went from telling us she loves us every day to deactivating… these r dark times (sic),’ wrote another.

Grande is still active on Instagram, where she recently promoted her new Netflix film Don’t Look Up with a video of her singing “Just Look Up,” her original song for the film, on the finale of NBC’s The Voice alongside Kid Cudi.

The film follows two astronomers as they strive to warn humanity that a comet is heading straight for Earth and would wipe out civilisation. They go on a media tour in an attempt to persuade others to believe, but they are unsuccessful. Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, and Leonardo DiCaprio all star in the film.
