Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio has faced backlash from stars after being linked with 19-year-old model Eden Polani.

The 48-year-old actor denied they are dating.

This comes as social media platforms were abuzz with reactions to their 29-year age gap, which made news due to Eden’s young age, being born after the release of DiCaprio’s iconic film, Titanic.

MailOnline has listed some stars, including Katherine Ryan, Miriam Margoyles, Dionne Warwick, Ulrika Jonsson, and Megyn Kelly, who have slammed Leo for his “25 rule” or his habit of dating younger women.

Katherine Ryan, a comedian, posted a series of tweets that criticized DiCaprio’s “creepy pattern” of dating women under 25. She also wrote, “the power dynamic of his age, his wealth, and his fame over a 19 year old girl is actually repulsive.”

Meanwhile, Miriam Margoyles, who worked with DiCaprio in the 1996 Baz Luhrmann adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, stated that he was “very stupid” for only dating younger women.

She also claimed, “Maybe at that age, they want to start having children.”

Conservative pundit Megyn Kelly also criticized the actor on her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, calling him “bloated” and slammed his penchant for dating younger women, stating that “He’s just going to keep banging teenagers [for] the rest of his life.”

Ulrika Jonsson also weighed in on the controversy in her weekly column for The Sun, describing the age gap between DiCaprio and his rumoured model flame as “sickening” and adding that it “gives me the creeps.”

Meanwhile, iconic singer Dionne Warwick made a sarcastic comment on the topic by saying, “I just heard about Leonardo DiCaprio’s 25-year rule. His loss. You don’t know what you’re missing.”

DiCaprio’s dating pattern became a source of mockery after he and Camila Morrone, who turned 25 in June, split this summer after more than four years together.

DiCaprio was first pictured with Eden at Ebony Riley’s release party for her new EP.

He was spotted sitting next to the teen Israeli model, seemingly missing from the event was Leo’s current girlfriend Victoria Lamas, who at 23 is 25 years his junior and almost half his age.

It is unclear if he is still with Lamas, as he was apparently last seen in public with the model back in late December.

Leonardo’s previous girlfriends have been 25 years old or younger, except for the model Gigi Hadid, whom he briefly dated last year.

He was pictured getting close to her at a party in New York City in September, marking the first time the Oscar winner had dated a woman older than 25.

Gigi also became the first woman he had dated who is a mother.

The star has always hit headlines with his relationships, famously dating model Gisele Bundchen for five years starting when she was 18, and Bar Refaeli, with whom he had a five-year romance that ended when she turned 25.

Leonardo has not commented on the recent controversy surrounding his dating habits.
