Jennifer Aniston is a strong lady who exemplifies how, with a little time, personal growth, and forgiveness, you can reconcile with a cheating ex.

In September, the 52-year-old Friends actor reunited with ex-husband Brad Pitt for a live table reading of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. She told Howard Stern on Wednesday that there was no discomfort between them. “It was absolutely fun. Brad and I are buddies, we’re friends ,” Aniston stated on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, alongside Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox, her Friends co-stars.

During the reading of the teen film, the former Friends star read the part of Linda while Pitt played her Brad. She also revealed that she and her ex-husband are still in contact and that there is “no oddness at all.”

“And we speak, and there’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be,” Aniston remarked, adding that they had “fun, and it was for a great cause, CORE.”

On Better Together with Maria Menounos, Dane Cook, who hosted the live table reading, discussed the couple’s reunion last year. Cook stated, “They both locked in. What you saw was absolutely what we had hoped, which was just nice engagement between two massive, incredibly talented people.”

From 2000 through 2005, Aniston was married to Pitt. The cordial ex-couple has maintained contact since then, with Pitt even attending Aniston’s birthday celebration in 2019. Jen was also announced to be back on the dating scene in 2019, fueling rumors of a possible rekindling. However, no formal confirmation was ever received, much to everyone’s dismay.

From 2015 until 2017, the Morning Show actress was married to Justin Theroux, 49. The two are still on good terms and FaceTime each other. In this week’s cover story for PEOPLE, she said she doesn’t want to go down the aisle again, but she wants to meet a “fantastic partner.”

When asked about getting married again, Aniston answered, “Oh God, I don’t know. It’s not on my radar. I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents.”

Despite the fact that we live in the age of internet dating, Jen claims that it is not for her.

When asked if she would ever attempt it, she said, “Absolutely no.”

“I’m going to just stick to the normal ways of dating. Having someone ask you out. That’s the way I would prefer it.”

Aniston also told PEOPLE that she considers herself “blessed” in her life.

“I’m in a really peaceful place. I have a job that I love, I have people in my life who are everything to me, and I have beautiful dogs,” she continued. “I’m just a very fortunate and blessed human being.”
