According to reports, one of the robbers who reportedly attacked Kim Kardashian at a Paris hotel in 2016 has written a tell-all book detailing odd and star-studded details of the robbery targeting the reality TV queen.

While it’s unclear why the person currently in custody and awaiting trial would write a book that essentially admits to being a part of the crime, the Daily Mail reported that Yunice Abbas’ I Sequestered Kim Kardashian is set to release in France next week and retells some of the events of that fateful night.

Abbas is accused of robbing the reality star of $10 million in jewels. In October 2016, five thieves dressed as cops tied up Kardashian at her luxurious apartment in the Hôtel de Pourtalès at 3 a.m. local time and held her at gunpoint. According to Page Six, the burglars got away with high-end valuables including two Cartier diamond bracelets, a gold Jacob necklace, and Loraine Schwarz diamond earrings. According to an article from the February 4th issue of the French magazine Closer, Abbas alleges that Kardashian and her secretary contacted 911 for aid throughout the encounter, despite the fact that they were in France, where the number is meaningless. “Our two beauties stubbornly tried to call 911…the emergency call number for the US. Not very efficient when you are in Paris,” Abbas said. “I sequestered Kim Kardashian.” He claims that the creator of Skims ultimately “complied” because she understood the thieves were not “threatening her life.”

Abbas also wrote about the gang snatching Kim’s phone after the heist and discovering that she was receiving a call from Tracy Chapman as they were fleeing the area on motorcycles.

“At the moment that I heard a police car, the sound of the phone made me jump. To my incredulous eyes, [Chapman’s] name appeared on the phone’s screen. It’s not possible. I must be hallucinating,” he wrote.

Abbas further said that the thief’s crew had previously scouted the hotel with the help of elderly accomplices. “What’s more reassuring than the elderly, who are as peaceful as they are anonymous, to gather a maximum of information on scene?” he writes. Page Six points out that the timing of his handwritten confession is a little strange, given that he is still awaiting trial for his role in the crime.

Although Kasrdashian was unharmed, her jewelry was never found.

Kris Jenner described the event as “emotionally scarring” in a Keeping Up With the Kardashians season 13 episode about it. “It‘s been the most devastating thing to have one of your children fear for their life, thinking at any moment they were going to die when they have two small children,” she added. Kardashian noted at the time that the show would be “tough” to watch and released the final family picture they took in Paris with Kris, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner. “Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me,” she said in the caption. “However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted. I have always shared so much & I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons & feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies & husband. To my friends, family, and loved ones I can’t thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work.”
