Shia LaBeouf intends to join an “intensive, long-term inpatient” facility to deal with his drug and mental health difficulties.

Shawn Holley, the actor’s attorney, said in an exclusive interview with Variety that “Shia needs help, and he knows that.”

“We are actively seeking the kind of meaningful, intensive, long-term inpatient treatment that he desperately needs.”

FKA Twigs accused the actor of “relentless abuse” when they were in a relationship, including sexual violence, assault, and infliction of emotional distress. Another of LaBeouf’s previous girlfriends, stylist Karolyn Pho, was named as a complainant in her suit.

FKA Twigs revealed many traumatizing situations in which LaBeouf demonstrated hostile and abusive conduct toward her in a separate interview with the New York Times.

In response to the musician’s charges, LaBeouf stated that he had “been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years,” but that “many of these allegations are not true.”

Sia has also spoken out against Twigs after the actor’s lawsuit was filed. The singer labeled him a “pathological liar” on Twitter, claiming he “conned” her into a “adulterous relationship.” LaBeouf has yet to reply to her allegations.

In response to Twigs and Pho’s charges, LaBeouf told the New York Times that he was a “sober member of a 12-step program” and that he was in counseling. He stated, “I am not cured of my PTSD and alcoholism. But I am committed to doing what I need to do to recover, and I will forever be sorry to the people that I may have harmed along the way.”

Twigs issued a statement on her social media sites the day after filing the case against LaBeouf, explaining her decision. She stated, “It may be surprising to you to learn that i was in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship. “it was hard for me to process too, during and after i never thought something like this would happen to me.”

“i hope that by sharing my experience i can truly help others feel like they are not alone and shed some light on how those who are worried somebody they care about may be in an abusive relationship can help because i understand it can be confusing and hard to know what to do.”

Variety also alleged that LaBeouf was removed from Olivia Wilde’s upcoming film after he broke the set’s “zero assholes policy.”

Harry Styles, who will feature with Florence Pugh in a film that is likely to make every heart flutter across the world, will take LaBeouf’s place.
