Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a selfie with Linda Hamilton, his Terminator co-star, 34 years after the first film.

To commemorate the actress’ 62nd birthday, the former California governor, 71, posted two images of the two on social media, one from the time of the first two Terminator films, which were released in 1984 and 1991, and the other from behind the scenes of Terminator 6, which began production in June.

Arnold flashed a grin for the cameras, looking battered and wounded with his bloodied prosthetics on, while Linda placed her head lovingly on his shoulder, replicating the exact pose.

“Happy birthday to my dear friend Linda Hamilton. One of my favorite co-stars, a true badass, and a wonderful human being. I’m pumped to be back together again,” Schwarzenegger said.

With Sarah Connor, a woman originally targeted for assassination by Skynet’s T-800 android (Schwarzenegger) as she was fated to give birth to John Connor, humanity’s hope for survival against the impending robot apocalypse, Hamilton’s performance helped redefine female characters in the sci-fi space. Sarah’s connection with the Terminator was altered in the 1991 sequel, in which the T-800 journeyed back in time to protect Sarah and her teen son.

Terminator is returning to our screens, keeping true to his iconic ‘I’ll be back’ statement from the smash film.

Linda was pictured on set in Madrid, Spain, in June, and she appeared ready to fight any bad guys, flaunting her toned arms while wearing a bulletproof vest and brandishing a revolver.

At SXSW, Schwarzenegger said that the Terminator remake, helmed by Tim Miller, was filming in Spain, and quipped that the screenplay had to include President Donald Trump: “The T800 travels back to 2019 to get Trump out of prison!”

Despite the fact that the actors and crew have stayed tight-lipped about the narrative of the newest installment, James Cameron, the film’s creator and executive producer, did reveal:

“This is a continuation of the story from Terminator 1 and Terminator 2.

“And we’re pretending the other films were a bad dream.

“Or an alternate timeline, which is permissible in our multi-verse.”

Tim Miller (Deadpool) directs the picture, which is based on a story by David Goyer and stars Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta. James Cameron, the franchise’s father, will also produce alongside David Ellison.

The release date for Terminator 6 was initially set for July 2019, however it has subsequently been moved back to November 22, 2019.
