Pennywise Terrorizes Bill Hader in New IT Chapter Two Set Photos

In newly released photographs from the set of IT: Chapter 2, Pennywise the Dancing Clown torments Bill Hader’s Richie Tozier. Andres Muschietti’s second edition of Stephen King’s IT has been filming since late June, and the adult Losers’ Club, along with their younger counterparts, have been sighted all throughout Port Hope, Canada, but Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise has been missing until recently. We’ve seen the creepy clown on a statue’s shoulder, in a muddy marsh, and now he’s tormenting grownup Richie Tozier.

The Daily Mail published photographs of Skarsgrd and Hader filming a scene in which Pennywise comes right up in Richie’s face, taunting him, before Richie flees in horror. A similar sequence occurred in the first film, with Pennywise leading Richie into a room full of clown dolls before bursting out and yelling, “Beep beep, Richie!” (an inside joke among the Losers’ Club), and it appears that we will hear that remark again in IT Chapter Two. Based on the presence of the crane in the backdrop, these photographs appear to be from the same scenario as seen in earlier set photos – an adaption of a scene in the novel where IT scares Richie with a large Paul Bunyan monument.

In addition to the terrifying images, Bill Hader and Bill Skarsgrd are shown laughing, which, to be honest, is still terrifying. In full makeup and costume, Skarsgard can be seen chuckling with his hands on his hips. The Pennywise actor has previously stated that he had a fantastic time hanging out with the adult Losers’ Club on the set of IT 2. Skarsgard said that he and director Andres Muschietti had to come up with a new method to handle the clown with an adult cast, and it appears that they succeeded because Hader looks terrified in the photographs.

James McAvoy plays Bill Denbrough, Jessica Chastain plays Beverly Marsh, James Ransone plays Eddie Kaspbrak, Jay Ryan plays Ben Hanscom, and Isaiah Mustafa plays Mike Hanlon in “It 2”

IT premiered last September to the tune of $123.1 million on opening weekend, the largest opening weekend ever for a September release, an autumn release, and a horror film. It took in $9 million less than Deadpool for the second-highest opening for an R-rated film. The film grossed over $700 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing horror film of all time.

IT Chapter Two is now filming on location in Port Hope, Canada, so we’ve been getting a constant supply of set photographs and behind-the-scenes shots that give us a taste of what we may anticipate in the sequel. So far, it appears that Muschietti will accurately adapt the novel (with a few sensible deletions), but director and screenwriter Gary Dauberman may have cooked up some surprises as well.

‘IT2’ will be released in cinemas on September 6th, 2019.
