Actress Jessica Chastain has recently shared details about an on-set injury she sustained while filming her upcoming film, The 355.

During an episode of The Late Late Show, Chastain revealed that she hit her head while shooting a fight scene for the film.

According to Chastain, the incident occurred when she was on a marble floor and misjudged the distance during the scene. She ended up falling and hitting her head, causing a loud crack.

Chastain described the moment as being a bit stunned and joked that it might be the reason for her personality.

After the incident, Chastain’s stunt double, who is French and does not speak much English, approached her and apologized before stating that she needed to put something back in.

Chastain was confused and asked what needed to be put back in, fearing that her brains might have been outside of her face.

It turns out that her stunt double was simply pushing a bruise back into her head.

“Everyone stopped and looked scared and I was a bit stunned like ‘I don’t know what’s happening,'” she added.

“My stunt double comes up to me and she comes up to me and goes, ‘I’m sorry but I have to put it back in.’ And I’m sitting there like, ‘Put what back in? Are my brains outside of my face? What’s happening?'”

Despite the injury, Chastain refused to give up and continued filming for a few more takes before finally deciding to seek medical attention.

She ultimately had to go to the hospital to be treated for her injury.

The 355 follows a group of spies from different international organizations who come together to combat a common threat.

Chastain not only stars in the film but also served as a producer. The film also features Penelope Cruz, Diane Kruger, Lupita Nyong’o, Fan Bingbing, Sebastian Stan, and Edgar Ramirez among others.

Kruger, who plays a role in the film, recently spoke to Women’s Health about the experience of filming The 355.

She praised Chastain’s efforts to ensure equality in terms of pay for the project and described the set as being a welcoming and supportive environment.

Kruger specifically noted that Chastain made sure that all of the actresses were paid the same and that they all owned a piece of the movie.

In addition to advocating for equal pay, Chastain also made sure that the set for The 355 was a suitable environment for working mothers.

She emphasized the importance of participating in projects where everyone feels valued and empowered.

“It felt great to work with girls, and there was no weirdness on set. Jessica made sure all of the actresses were paid the same; we all own a piece of the movie,” said Kruger.

“Regardless of how the film does, it was one of the most complete experiences.”

“Being able to be heard and valued is so important — not just in what I do, but everywhere,” she added.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chastain talked about the support she provided for parents on set, specifically mothers.

She revealed that the set for The 355 had a trailer specifically for children, allowing cast members who are parents to balance their careers with their parental responsibilities.

Chastain, who is a mother herself to a 3-year-old daughter, expressed her love for bringing families on set and noted the importance of being able to have a successful career while still being able to fully participate in other aspects of life.

She also pointed out the double standard that has historically existed, allowing men to have both a career and a family while expecting women to choose one or the other.

“I love bringing families on set,” Chastain told the outlet.

“We had a trailer that was for children, and so how wonderful that, yes we can be successful and wonderful at our work, but we can also not have to shut down part of our life in order to do so.”

“And I think for the longest time it’s been like, you’re either a career woman or you’re home. It’s like, there’s no such thing,” she added.

“Men have been able to do both for years. Let’s just make it possible for everyone.”
