Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, has confessed that he perpetrated a cruel April April fools prank on his fiancee, actress Rose Leslie, who vowed to dump him if he did it again.

According to the Daily Mail, Harington put a model of his severed head in their fridge, which seems to be a prop from the Game of Thrones production.

He released a video of the scared actress screaming and falling in panic on The Jonathan Ross Show before showing an image of their open fridge with an image of his head covered in dirt and blood.

“After that she was in tears and I was there going ‘April Fools…'” Kit chuckled.

Kit reveals, ‘It didn’t go down well. She pretty much told me if I did it ever again that would be it – and I think that’s marriage included.”

After revealing that his ancestor Robert Catesby, who he portrays in the upcoming drama Gunpowder, had his head impaled on a spike following his involvement in the Guy Fawkes terror assault 400 years ago, the severed head joke felt appropriate.

Kit also spoke openly about proposing, saying: “I did have some plans to do it. I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early.”

Kit promptly apologized for his improper language, telling presenter Johnathan, ‘I was meant to do it the day after with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early’.

The couple, who met on the set of “Game of Thrones,” recently got engaged and are also distant relatives, which is funny. Kit said when asked if they’d have a ‘Game of Thrones’-style wedding, “There is absolutely no chance of me convincing her of that.”

Kit proposed to his Scottish girlfriend in September.
