There has been much debate about whether a now-viral photo of a great actor mimicking a crying baby on a golf course in Scotland belongs to Bill Murray or Tom Hanks on the Internet.

Is that Bill Murray or Tom Hanks in this wildly popular photo? During a photo with a fan, one of the two actors wearing an orange hood made a crying face.

Laura DiMichele-Ross shared the photo to the Facebook group in 2013, but it was taken by her husband, Adam Ross, in October 2012 at the St Andrews golf course in Scotland. Laura is shown carrying her nine-month-old baby, Alexander, in front of Murray, who is imitating the child’s face.

Tom Hanks was asked about the viral photo highlighting the “Ghostbusters” actor’s startling resemblance to the “Captain Phillips” star in the photograph when appearing on “The Graham Norton Show”.

Even Hanks believes that he and “Ghostbusters” star have a striking resemblance, as he stated on Thursday night.

“I’ve been doing a pale imitation of Bill Murray for most of my career,” Hanks stated, straight-faced. “I know that it’s not me — because I did not take that picture. That is not me.”

“Unless I’ve had a medicinal cranial plate shift, that’s not me,” Hanks joked. “I believe that’s Bill!”

When Norton argued that it was a dead ringer for him, Hanks responded, “I could make that face.”

The Sully star tried his hardest to reproduce the shot with the help of fellow guests Gemma Arterton and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who played the fan and the sobbing infant.

Murray’s original shot was taken on St. Andrew’s Golf Course in Scotland, and there are other images of the actor wearing the now-famous orange jacket to back it up. Despite the fact that the argument has been resolved, there remains an amazing likeness between the two performers!

The snapshot “pops up on Facebook every few months,” according to DiMichele-Ross, who lives in Perthshire. The photo was extensively shared online again this week, and it became a trending topic on social media and websites like Reddit.

“We are finding this very funny. I personally don’t see the resemblance to Tom Hanks but we’ve noticed that people have been mentioning it for years,” she told the Guardian.
