After a man drowned in a pool at her Los Angeles home, American actress Demi Moore was in “absolute shock.”

Edenilson Valle is said to have drowned at a party hosted by an aide at the actress’ house on Sunday morning.

Mr. Valle was thought to be a friend of one of her aides. The actress was away from the Los Angeles home at the time of the tragedy.

The 52-year-old actress issued a statement via her publicist, Heidi Lopata, in which she stated, “I am in absolute shock, I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news.”

The mother of three continued by expressing her sincere sympathy to the man’s family who was unrelated to the Moores. “The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends,” she said. “I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time.”

According to Fred Corral, Los Angeles County coroner, Mr. Valle was discovered floating in the deep end of the pool by his pals early on Sunday morning after being gone for 10 to 15 minutes.

According to Sergeant A. Bone of the West Los Angeles station, there were five individuals at the house at the time of the drowning, including Demi’s assistant who was in charge of the gathering.

Since Mr. Valle did not know how to swim, his family and friends informed authorities that his death was likely an accident.

Emergency crews were called to the house in the city’s Beverly Crest neighbourhood. When police officers came, there was a small throng gathered around the man’s corpse. The individual was given medical attention, but he was declared dead at the site.

Together with her ex spouse Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore purchased the home. She formerly held the title of Hollywood’s highest-paid actress.

Neighbours in the affluent neighborhood told TMZ that pool-parties have been regularly hosted at the house by Ms Moore’s three children: Rumer, 26, Scout, 24, and Tallulah, 21, whose father is the actor Bruce Willis.

Rumer has been participating in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour and was seen at LAX on Friday. The younger two sisters are said to be in New York at the time.

Tallulah, Demi’s 21-year-old daughter, has been posting pictures of late-night pool parties on Instagram lately, and the actress has also made an appearance in a pool photo with Tallulah and Scout, Demi’s 23-year-old daughter.

Tallulah uploaded a late-night photo of a packed swimming area filled with visitors and inflatable toys earlier this month on Instagram.

She remarked at the time, “This picture doesn’t do justice to the glory that was our pool party last night.”
