Queen and Charles deeply upset with Harry’s rants

After Harry’s persistent attacks on his father’s parental skills, Prince Charles has been left “feeling wretched.”

Over the last few months, the Duke of Sussex has regularly criticized Charles in the media, including two Oprah Winfrey interviews in which he effectively accused his father of abusing him and Prince William.

In a statement that seemed to attack the Queen and Prince Philip’s parenting, Harry said that he did not fault Charles for his parenting failings, because the future king was brought up in an equally harsh manner.

“Charles is such a gentle man and a dedicated father first and foremost. He’ll be feeling wretched. He wants to seek a reconciliation. He is not vindictive at all…,” a source told the Mail on Sunday.

“Charles will want to engage, but it’s fair to say what Harry has said in both interviews with Oprah has been seen as very callous within the family. If Harry was to attack the Queen in a more personal way, Charles would close ranks with the Queen without a doubt and Harry would be out in the cold.”

According to the source, Harry’s constant rants have been “very upsetting for the Royal Family.”

“Harry’s grandmother has taken this very personally and is deeply upset by what Harry has said, in particular his comments about Charles’s parenting and suggesting [he] knows no better because of how he was brought up”.

Unsubstantiated, inaccurate hearsay doesn’t make good reading and can only fuel further argument. An un-named source being reported by The Mail must count as news media’s least reliable, most questionable, matters for debate. Adjectives like “rants” only serve to reinforce the impression I have that the author is sadly biased if not scurrilous.

So what’s new? Certainly not Haz-Been whining about how bad he had it growing up. Whoopie!! News flash Red…lot’s of people had a crappy childhood, but we CHOOSE to ride above it. You say you’re a man, you have a family depending on you. THEN ACT LIKE A MAN!! SHUT UP and deal with it!
