Christina Ricci recently revealed that she was once threatened with legal action over her refusal to participate in a s^x scene.

The actress shared her experience during a discussion about the evolution of Hollywood, highlighting the positive changes she has witnessed since the beginning of her acting career.

During an appearance on The View, Ricci explained that someone had threatened to sue her over disagreements about the filming of a s^x scene.

She said, “Someone threatened to sue me once because I didn’t want to do a s^x scene in a certain way. It’s really changed.”

Sources indicate that Ricci had previously mentioned the lawsuit in a conversation with Sydney Sweeney for Variety’s Actors on Actors, but with less detail.

In that conversation, she acknowledged being threatened with a lawsuit but did not reveal that it was related to a s^x scene.

Ricci’s comments sparked a strong reaction on social media, with many people expressing shock and outrage at the Hollywood industry for taking advantage of actors.

One person wrote, “They took her self-esteem and made her a person who couldn’t see her own worth, someone who measured her worth is the gaze of others.”

During the discussion on The View, Whoopi Goldberg expressed surprise at the strong bond between young actresses on the TV show Yellowjackets.

She speculated that the reason for this difference could be attributed to the fact that she was mainly surrounded by adults during her own acting career, whereas the current cast has more peers to interact with.

Despite the challenges she has faced, Ricci acknowledged that there have been positive changes in the industry.

She pointed out that there is less negative and shaming coverage of female actors now than there was in the past.

She said, “It’s amazing to see that they don’t necessarily have to go through the things we had to go through. They’re able to say, I don’t want to do this s^x scene, I’m not going to be n/ked.”

Ricci’s comments shed light on the challenges that actors face in the industry, particularly when it comes to issues such as consent and boundaries.

Many people on social media praised her for speaking out and standing up for herself.
