Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have had their first child together, a daughter who is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild.

Princess Beatrice gave birth at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London on Saturday 18th September at 11:42 p.m., according to Buckingham Palace.

Beatrice’s daughter will be given a title, but it has nothing to do with the Royal Family.

The infant is 11th in line to the throne, while children higher in the line of succession, such as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archie and Lilibet, were born without titles.

According to The Mirror, the infant will receive a title thanks to her father, Edorado, an Italian count.

This means that any of his offspring will receive the title of count or countess.

“Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation,” Edoardo’s father, Count Allessandro Mapelli Mozzi, previously told the Daily Mail.

“He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement following the birth of Princess Beatrice and Edorardo’s daughter.

“The baby weighs six pounds and two ounces.

“The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”

The baby’s birth has changed the line of succession.

The top ten stay the same, but because the baby is in 11th place, after her mother Princesss Beatrice, anybody who was previously 11th or lower drops one position.

The topic of titles for young royals came up when Meghan informed Oprah that the Royal Family had modified protocols so Archie wouldn’t have a title.

She also hinted that this decision may have been influenced by worries over Archie’s skin tone.
