Piers Morgan urged the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to “put up or shut up” after Ofcom decided not to penalize Good Morning Britain for contentious statements he made on the show.

“Today, Ofcom has emphatically endorsed my right to not believe what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were saying,” he stated before heading for an awards event.

“And I’m delighted that they’ve actually recognised what I said five months ago, which is actually, in a democracy, we have a thing called free speech and freedom of expression and you’re allowed to have an opinion even if Meghan and Harry in their California mansion don’t like it.”

He went on to say, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex should reflect on this, and they should work out whether it is fair of them to spray gun the British royal family with lurid allegations without producing a shred of evidence.”

“Five months later there is no evidence for any of their allegations. I’m not saying they didn’t happen, I’m just saying ‘put up or shut up’.”

Piers Morgan referred to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as “gutless weasels” after they refused to name the royal who, according to them, made a racist remark about their son Archie.

After a report claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex contemplated naming the child in their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, the former Good Morning Britain host, 56, rushed to Twitter to attack the duo.

The two chose to keep it a secret between them, with Piers venting his frustrations online.

“Go on then, you gutless weasels – name the supposed Royal racist and let them respond,” Morgan tweeted, referring to an article in the Mail’s front page about disclosures in a revised unofficial biography of the royal couple.

“Otherwise you continue to smear the whole family.”

It was the latest in a series of rants by the host directed against the couple. He also called on the pair the make the announcement when he appeared on Extra TV in the US.

Piers quit Good Morning Britain when coworker Alex Beresford challenged him about his behavior against the couple on television.

A leaked epilogue from a revised edition of Finding Freedom, coming out next week, suggests Harry and Meghan considered disclosing the royal’s identity during the interview.

Harry’s brother, the Duke of Cambridge, was “furious” about the TV show, while Meghan found the experience “cathartic” and “liberating,” it claims.

It’s also thought that the book covers Harry’s financial stability during the time of their “Megxit” from the royal family, claiming that they “wouldn’t have survived” if the prince hadn’t inherited money from his late mother, Princess Diana.

According to the book, palace courtiers plotted against Meghan and Harry and fed the media falsehoods about Meghan and Harry not wanting a title for Archie when they truly wanted the option.

It also says that some members of the Royal family were happy that Meghan did not attend the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral because they thought her attendance would have created “a spectacle”

The book is said to be critical of the monarchy after royal aides ordered an investigation into Meghan’s complaints of bullying, while the Duke and Duchess’s claims of racism were not addressed similarly.

According to the book, Harry and his father, the Prince of Wales, are on “light speaking terms”
