An emotional  Jennifer Aniston is assisting Ellen DeGeneres with the premiere of her daytime talk show’s final season.

The actress, 52, who has stood with Ellen amid her ‘toxic workplace’ incident, tears up as soon as she steps off on stage, realizing the program is indeed coming to an end, in a teaser trailer for Friday’s next performance.

Following concerns about a “toxic” work climate on the program, which led to an internal Warner Bros. investigation, Ellen declared in May that this season would be her last one after a successful 18-year stint.

Jennifer, who was Ellen’s first ever guest when the show initially aired in 2003, breaks down in tears as Ellen says Jennifer has been a part of the show since “day one,” introducing her as a “friend.”

Jennifer comes in a blue jumpsuit that she looks great on. She offers host Ellen DeGeneres a big embrace as soon as she gets the main stage before breaking down in tears. “What the hell?” she exclaims as she takes a seat. “This isn’t supposed to be emotional. God dang it!”

‘Not yet – it’s not even over, you know I have not been out in a long time, like two years, and I am not kidding, and the last time I was here hosting a show was here when you were at the DMV’.

She does, however, have a slight grudge towards her pal. Jen gave Ellen a welcome mat that said “Welcome” when she first came on the show in 2003. Ellen promised that she would leave it there indefinitely, but it appears that she did not.

Jennifer remarks in the forthcoming episode, “I’ve done this show 19 times. That has only been here one time… What department distressed it to look like this?”

Ellen then admits, “I don’t think it’s the actual one. I think we made a new one. I think the other one’s gone.” To that, Jennifer responds, “Oh, well thank you for your honesty,” still wiping tears out of her eyes.

On the last season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel will be the first guest, followed by conversations with actress Tiffany Haddish, Kim Kardashian West, and social media personalities Charli and Dixie D’Amelio.

Ellen will be celebrating and thanking her fans for their support and affection. In addition to reminiscing about prior celebrity appearances and Ellen DeGeneres Show surprises, the host will check in on noteworthy human interest stories that have impacted viewers across the world.

DeGeneres, 63, was one of the most famous TV personalities before the workplace incident, known for her cheery on-screen appearance and “be kind” motto, regularly participating in lavish giveaways or acts of charity.

Warner Bros. announced that its parent company, WarnerMedia, had conducted an inquiry, which uncovered “some flaws in the show’s daily management.”

The studio was also “disappointed that the primary findings of the investigation indicated some deficiencies related to the show’s day-to-day management.”
