An expert claims that Prince Harry did not adequately train Meghan Markle for royal life.

Robert Jobson, author of biography Prince Philip’s Century, has said Megxit is mostly Prince Harry’s fault for not adequately train Meghan for life in the royal family, telling Page Six: ‘He’s not the sharpest guy, but maybe he didn’t want to explain it.

“It’s a combination of Harry and Meghan’s fault, mainly Harry for not explaining it to her properly,” Robert Jobson told Page Six.

He also blamed the 36-year-old for failing to adequately describe the ups and downs of becoming a royal to Meghan.

‘It’s hard work being a member of the royal family. People think it’s not but it is. It’s not glamorous and maybe she didn’t fancy that after at all .’

Meanwhile, he believes Harry’s lack of guidance contributed to Meghan’s lack of understanding of how The Firm operated when she first joined.

Jobson, who has also written about Princess Diana’s security detail, didn’t entirely absolve the Duchess of Sussex of responsibility for the couple’s inability to make it in the royal family, claiming that she should have expressed greater interest in what she was getting herself into.

“It’s up to you to do your own homework if you want to marry into a prestigious family,” he said.

Meghan said during their interview with Oprah Winfrey that she had never done something like that until their first date.

She stated, “I never looked up my husband online.”

“I just didn’t feel the need to because everything that I needed to know, he was sharing with me — or everything we thought I needed to know, he was telling me.”

Meghan has no reason for not understanding how it operated, according to Jobson, since the Palace appointed Samantha Cohen, a part of the Queen’s personal staff, to assist her in learning the details of becoming a Duchess.

He said that the mother-of-one seemed to be oblivious to their social hierarchy and struggled to accept it.

“When she saw that she had the little house and William and Kate were the number one couple she probably didn’t understand that and thought, ‘Well we can do better than this and start commercialising the royal family,’ well frankly that’s not acceptable,” he said.

‘I blame Harry really because he knew the story but he wanted his cake and to eat it and you can’t do that.’

Meghan and Harry have done just that, notwithstanding the writers’ vicious recriminations.

The royal family’s point of view, according to Jobson, is focused on “service and helping others. It’s not to do with helping yourself. I’m afraid that’s what’s happened here. I blame Harry really because he knew the story but he wanted his cake and to eat it and you can’t do that.”

The Sussexes struck multi-million dollar deals after standing down from the royal family, including a £30 million ($42 million) contract with Spotify and a £100 million ($140 million) partnership with Netflix.

Buckingham Palace formalized the divorce in February 2021, announcing that the Duke and Duchess would relinquish their royal patronages and would no longer be working members of the monarchy.

It comes after news that Prince William will never forgive Meghan, his sister-in-law, for attacking his beloved wife on Oprah Winfrey and then accusing his flesh and blood of racism and uncaring behavior against those with mental health problems.

‘Prince William cannot countenance the way the Duchess of Sussex has treated his wife,’ sources told MailOnline’s Dan Wootton. ‘Kate attempted to try and help Meghan understand the responsibilities of royal life, but her efforts were constantly misinterpreted.’

‘But to name Kate so publicly during the Oprah interview as the person who made her cry was beyond the pale. Meghan would have been acutely aware that Kate is powerless to fight back.

‘Despite her growing confidence in public, Kate is a deeply sensitive woman who likes to stay behind-the-scenes as much as possible to support her family and the country.
‘William thinks the way she has been treated is unfair.’
