According to The Sun, a former advisor on British affairs to senior US leaders says that his fellow Americans will shortly turn on Prince Harry and his wife Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex “besmirched” the Royal Family in their Oprah Winfrey interview, according to Lee Cohen, a consultant on Anglo-American issues for the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee. Mr Cohen, who is now a senior fellow at the Bow Group and the Danube Institute in the United Kingdom, said at the time that many of his American colleagues thought the blame “must lie anywhere” other than with Meghan and Harry.
However, “recent events” have prompted “more critical assessments” of the pair in the United States, according to Mr Cohen.
In an article in The Sun, he wrote: “On both sides of the Atlantic, everyone loves the Cinderella story. But as they have gotten to know Meghan, the Brits saw what she really was – an ambitious self-promoter with a social justice agenda.

“Now Americans are getting a chance to see what the couple are really about and the fairytale, replete with evil in-laws and half-siblings, is wearing thin.
“Over the past few days, US headlines have been crying fury, and this can be expected to feed through to general opinion.”
During a podcast interview earlier this month, Mr Cohen chastised Harry for calling the First Amendment, which guarantees the right to free speech, “bonkers”
“It doesn’t seem yet to have dawned on Harry that whether or not he’s representing his birth country, criticising his host country is unlikely to bring him many admirers there,” he said.
Mr Cohen argued that “passionately defending the fallen royal couple no matter their behaviour” will continue.
“But with each new muddled Sussex observation, unsubstantiated claim and disloyal act, ever more Americans will come to realise that the couple’s failures rest on their own shoulders rather than on the British nation or the institution of monarchy,” he concluded.
“In reality, this tawdry pair are now just another celebrity couple – let them be Hollywood royalty for as long as that lasts, but should they continue to enjoy the highest of honours from a country they’ve abandoned?” he continued.
“While it would be as wrong for an American to insert himself in the affairs of a sovereign nation as it was for Harry to criticize his host country’s law, nevertheless, I can only admire the growing chorus of Britons demanding the removal of the special status the Sussexes still are accorded from Harry’s birth into royalty.”
Prince Harry says father put him through ‘pain and suffering’ while growing up
Prince Harry is speaking up more.
The 36-year-old royal recently appeared on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, where he opened up about his relationship with his father.
Prince Harry has said that he wishes to “break the cycle” of his upbringing’s “pain and suffering” with his own children.
“I don’t think we should be pointing the finger or blaming anybody,” the 36-year-old said in the interview, “but certainly when it comes to parenting, if I’ve experienced some form of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that perhaps my father or my parents had suffered, I’m going to make sure I break that cycle so that I don’t pass it on.”
Harry considers how his father’s difficult childhood influenced his own. He went on to say, “It’s a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway.” “So we as parents should be doing the most we can to try and say, ‘You know what, that happened to me, I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen to you’
Harry claims that his father treated him the same way that his parents, Queen Elizabeth and the late Prince Philip, treated him. After realizing that much of how he was handled as a child was a result of how Charles was raised, he decided to “break the cycle” within his family. While Harry never saw or knew about it, he suddenly began to put it together and said, ‘OK, so this is where he went to school, this is what happened, I know this about his life, I also know that is connected to his parents so that means he’s treated me the way he was treated, so how can I change that for my own kids?’
“And here I am, I moved my whole family to the US, that wasn’t the plan but sometimes you’ve got make decisions and put your family first and put your mental health first.”
His father, Prince Charles, is said to have had a strained relationship with his own parents, Queen Elizabeth II and the late Prince Philip.
The relationship has been fraught for years, according to Harry, who started to contemplate abandoning the royal lifestyle in his “early 20s.”
“It’s the job right? Grin and bear it, get on with it. I was in my early 20s and I was thinking ‘I don’t want this job, I don’t want to be here, I don’t want to be doing this’.
“Look what it did to my mum. How am I ever going to settle down and have a wife and family when I know it’s going to happen again? I’ve seen behind the curtain. I’ve seen the business model and seen how this whole thing works and I don’t want to be part of this.”
Harry, who is expecting a daughter with wife Meghan and also has a two-year-old son, Archie, likened his life to “a mixture between The Truman Show and being in a zoo”
The new remarks from Harry follow a shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey that created a stir at Buckingham Palace.
In the interview, Harry discussed his tumultuous relationship with Charles and said that his father and brother William were “trapped” in the Royal Family.
He also feels “really let down” by his father, who “stopped taking my calls” after the Sussexes left the UK for Canada and was “cut him off financially” by the family.
He said that Markle was very supportive of him and that she “didn’t need to be a princess.” She urged Harry to pursue therapy as he started to feel like he was “in a cage”.
Finally, Harry expressed his satisfaction with his decision to relocate.
“So living here now I can actually lift my head and I feel different,” he said. “My shoulders have dropped, so have hers, you can walk around feeling a little bit more free, I can take Archie on the back of my bicycle, I would never have had the chance to do that.”
……
Prince Harry, on the other hand, has been criticized for throwing several members of the Firm under the bus.
“He believes this himself and mental health is a big, big issue out there but come on – really to keep harping on like this is getting embarrassing,” royal expert Robert Jobson said on the Australian breakfast show Sunrise.
“To criticise his father for his parenting skills but also Queen and Philip who only just had his funeral, he’s only just lost grandfather, I think it smacks of pretty shameless behaviour.”
“I know for a fact that people around them have heard it and seen reports online and it’s going to be all over papers.” he said, adding that other royals may have listened to the damning podcast.
Mr Jobson said that Charles has been “trying to keep an olive branch out for Harry and to Meghan and prefer to have them onside but it doesn’t seem like Harry is in any way listening.”
“So Prince Haz has not only thrown his dad under the bus, but the Queen and late grandpa too for their parenting style,” the specialist continued on Twitter.
“Forgive me, but he’s been a dad for how long?
“Perhaps he should pen a book on how to parent properly drawing on his wealth of experience? For “charity” of course.”
