Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have allegedly declined The Queen’s invitation to spend the summer in Balmoral with her.

For her two-month summer vacation, Her Majesty invites all of her family to her Scottish estate.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, paid a visit last month. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on the other hand, reportedly did not want to travel to Scotland because their newborn son Archie was too young.

The Queen was “disappointed” that the Sussexes would not be visiting Balmoral this summer, according to a royal insider.

‘Harry and Meghan had no plans to go to Balmoral this summer as they felt Archie was too young,’ the insider added.

‘It’s a bit odd, as his age didn’t stop them taking him to Ibiza for a week and then to see Elton John in France.

‘If they want privacy or protection — which was— there is no more protected or private holiday destination than the Queen’s Scottish home.’

“It’s all very hunting, shooting, fishing up at Balmoral, so maybe that put Meghan off.

“She has never been to Balmoral and the Queen was disappointed they’re not going.”

It comes after it was revealed late last month that the Sussexes will be visiting Balmoral, although not at the same time as the Cambridges.

Meghan’s visit at Balmoral would be her first, according to reports.

Elsewhere, Prince Harry, 34, was forced to explain his use of private planes this week after he and his wife Meghan, 38, flew on four in only 11 days in August.

This includes a travel to a climate change conference where Harry delivered a speech.

Later, Harry said that the majority of his flights are commercial, but that he does fly private on occasion for security concerns.

Kate and William flew to Balmoral and then flew back to London on a commercial airplane.
