During an interview with Pier Morgan and Susanna Reid, Hollywood veteran Mickey Rorke surprised GMB viewers with his “unrecognisable” look.

Mickey sported a silk shirt, cowboy hat, cane, and two miniature puppies on his lap in the interview, that comes after he starred in the highly acclaimed picture The Wrestler, which helped revitalize his acting career.

Rourke looked drastically different from how fans remembered.

On Twitter, one viewer commented: “#GMB who even was that?? He didn’t look anything like Mickey Rourke.”

@lellypompom, another Twitter user, stated: “Had to watch that Mickey Rourke interview from behind the sofa. Excruciatingly embarrassing, and his face is the stuff of nightmares!! He was so hot in 9 1/2 Weeks!!”

Another wrote: “Well. Sounds like Micky Rourke. Doesn’t look like him what on earth as he done #GMB.”

The actor has been on the big screen for over 50 years, yet he’s suddenly become unrecognizable.

Hala Elgmati, an aesthetic doctor and hair transplant surgeon, has revealed why people are so shocked by the Oscar nominee’s appearance.

She said: “Looking back to when Mickey was a fresh-faced 19-year-old, he was so handsome.

“Even up until his forties, with a little sign of ageing, he looked masculine and attractive.

“But the work Mickey has done has negatively affected his facial proportions, to the point where it’s now quite jarring to the human eye.”

But she argues that none of the work she believes he had done was “botched” rather “overdone.”

Dr. Elgmati of the Beyond Med Centre in Kensington, London, stated: “There have been lots of scientific studies into how ‘beauty’ and ‘attractiveness’ is quantified.

“And it all boils down to certain scientific ratios, which look at the distance between various points of the face.

“For example, science says that for someone to be ‘beautiful’, their lips need to be spaced at a certain distance from the tip of the nose in comparison to the chin.

“In Mickey’s case, those ratios have all been thrown out of synch because of the work he’s had done on his face.

“This makes it hard for the human brain to process and that’s why some people see it as ‘unnatural’.”

In the 1980s, Mickey Rourke became a Hollywood favorite, and many fans will remember him as John Gray in 9 1/2 Weeks.
