Brad Pitt explains why he is always eating in his Movies

You may or may not have noticed that Brad Pitt is frequently shown eating in films; it’s become something of a trademark for him.

He even eats a full batch of homemade mac & cheese in his upcoming film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Many hypotheses have been proposed as to why Pitt eats so much in his films, something that other actors attempt to avoid. Pitt and his co-star Margot Robbie were questioned about a 15-minute compilation of the actor chowing down on snacks in a prior interview with JOE while on the marketing trail for the next Tarantino film, and whether or not they’d seen it.

Robbie claimed she hadn’t, but that she had noted he ate “a lot of food in movies.”

He said that he is “a grazer by nature,” which is why he is often seen chewing on food.

“I know, I like that too, when you get to do something,” Magot Robbie says, before stealing JOE’s job and questioning Pitt directly about eating in a certain film.

Trending:

“In Ocean’s Eleven, do you talk about it, or do you just always have food handy?” Magot asked.

Pitt responded, “We just had it – well, there was actually method to that, because he was always on the run, always on the move, I figured he could never sit down and have a proper meal. So he always had to grab something on the run.”

Pitt believed that because the character is constantly on the move, he would not have time to settle down and eat a decent meal. As a result, he’ll have to bring something with him. This would explain why his character is seen eating so frequently, and this element also contributes to the audience’s understanding of the character.

Pitt’s films are, oddly enough, more successful when he eats in them: all films in which he consumes more than 200 calories have received favorable reviews and financial success. Earlier this year, Reddit user LundgrensFrontKick provided statistical evidence of this.

But u/LundgrensFrontKick posted a brief disclaimer: “I am not implying direct correlation equals causation. I’m just presenting random data in hopes of making a few people chuckle. Hopefully this data won’t be too much to digest.”

“I decided to do a rewatch of his movies to put together a master list of all the food, and see if any cool statistics popped out,” they wrote.
