Bradley Cooper has denied claims that he declined a date with Taylor Swift. The American Sniper actor, who recently turned 40, dismissed the rumors and stated that he had never heard from the Shake It Off singer.

T.Swift purportedly pursued a relationship with the Hollywood heartthrob last year, only to be turned down; however, Cooper thoroughly debunked that rumor in an appearance on the Howard Stern Show.

“It’s complete horse-s—t,” he told Howard Stern, the show’s host. “I never got a call. Nothing.” Cooper likened the news to equine feces.

According to rumor, Cooper passed down Swift because she was too young (although current girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, 23, is two years Swift’s junior and hence not too young for him).

Cooper claims that, contrary to popular belief, ladies do not flock to him while he is out.

Stern did not let Cooper loff ightly, and despite his denial, Stern hammered the subject, referring to Cooper and Swift as a prospective “power couple.” Cooper refused to take the bait and declined to ride along, asking Stern why he thought they’d make a good couple. Stern said that the actor and pop diva appear to be physically capable of having cute children together.

At the beginning of 2013, rumors circulated that Taylor had requested Bradley’s Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jennifer Lawrence to introduce her to him. However, in March of that year, the 40-year-old began dating model Suki Waterhouse after meeting her at the Elle Style Awards.

Suki claimed in an interview with Rollacoaster magazine that they hit it off “almost immediately”

“We were dancing at the after-party, and he asked me if I fancied going to a club,” she explained. “We went to Cirque Le Soir in London – and he’s a ridiculously good dancer, yes.”

“But I’m a serious dancer too, so I don’t know if I was fully concentrating on that. We make a pretty good duo though.”

Suki was in the crowd on the first night of his Broadway performance, but they haven’t been seen together since. The traditionally reclusive pair was spotted strolling in New York City’s Tribeca district in November.

Cooper has stated a wish to have children of his own at some point in the future. Cooper, who is presently single, says that having children is the next important step in his life. He also expressed grief that his own father will miss seeing his grandkids. Cooper previously told Square Mile Magazine that his father was aware of his desire to have children.

“I’m sorry my father won’t be around to see his grandchildren, but he knows fatherhood was something I was looking forward to,” he said. “That’s my next big step in life.”

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, has already expressed her dissatisfaction with being linked to so many different men, telling Rolling Stone magazine: “I feel like watching my dating life has become a bit of a national pastime. And I’m just not comfortable providing that kind of entertainment anymore. I don’t like seeing slide shows of guys I’ve apparently dated.”
