While on vacation in Africa, Hollywood actor Adam Sandler was attacked on by a cheetah.

During an interview on David Letterman’s talk program on Wednesday night, the Grown Ups 2 star said he feared he was going to die when the enormous cat leaped on his back.

The actor from ‘Billy Madison’ was invited into an enclosure containing rescued animals and was encouraged to help feed a resident cheetah. The large cat, on the other hand, had different ideas, pouncing angrily on the star as he crouched by a water hole.

Sandler, 46, said of the video, “I did have an incident and I sent you guys a little thing. This is a true story. I went there and they let me in with a cheetah and said I could feed the cheetah water with my hands. So, I did it and it went a little bit wrong.”

After that, Sandler permitted a home movie of his experience to be shown. A cheetah lurks behind the crouched Sandler in the video before springing onto him, evidently attempting to sink its claws into his back and arms.

“You were remarkably composed,” Letterman observed while watching the film.

The large cat became enraged, according to Sandler, when he squatted down next to a little drinking pool.

He said, ‘They said you were not supposed to bend down low with the water.’

The actor admits, “I was very nervous. It was fast.”

Adam claimed that while he appeared to be cool during the incident, he was truly terrified.

‘My friends say I played that pretty cool but I had a stiff neck at the time and when he jumped on me I just thought “Oh my neck,”‘ he explained.

‘All I was going to do was let him eat me. There was not one part of me that was going to fight back. I was like, “So this is how I’m dying. That’s great.”‘

But there was another reason for the star of Grown Ups 2’s calm demeanor in the video. “The only reason I didn’t react . . . [was that] I had a stiff neck at the time. So when he jumped on me, I was like, ‘Oh my neck,’” he joked. “All I was going to do was let him eat me. There was not one part of me that was going to fight back. I was like, ‘Alright, this is how I’m dying. This is great!’”
