Matt Damon debuted a new look while running errands in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The Bourne Identity star, who typically has a full head of hair, shaved his head and was spotted on his way to the post office.

The 40-year-old actor wore a khaki green T-shirt and trousers, which he teamed with basic black and white sneakers.

According to AceShowbiz, Damon was photographed on the Vancouver set of “Elysium,” where he is playing a “tough guy” part in the sci-fi epic, which will “use many sociopolitical ideas wrapped up inside something that is like a Hollywood action film,” according to director Neill Blomkamp.

The film, Neill Blomkamp’s eagerly awaited sequel to the sleeper hit “District 9,” has also just teased us with a glimpse into the future via a fake website for “Armadyne,” which promises it’s “building a better world” with “zero-g welders, mega-structure engineers, quantum networkers and experts in zero-g coupling.”

For an actor who lives a reasonably low-key life, this (lack of) ‘do will certainly get people talking.

As for who Damon might kick it to in zero gravity, you have a supporting cast which includes Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga and Diego Luna to speculate on.

The actor isn’t the only one who has lately shaved his head for a film.

For his part in the cop thriller End Of Watch, actor Jake Gyllenhaal shaved his head, while Channing Tatum went bald for the next G.I. Joe sequel.

True Damonator fans will know that he shaved his head in 2003 for “The Brothers Grimm,” and while filming in Prague filmed a cameo in “Euro Trip” where you can see him in full skinhead regalia.
