In a new Lifetime film about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle abandoning the royal family, Prince William is portrayed as the villain.

Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace, the third made-for-TV film from Lifetime, dramatizes the Sussexes’ “controversial conscious uncoupling from the crown, after the birth of their son Archie.”

It covers the explosive March interview with Oprah Winfrey, who subsequently confessed she was surprised the couple “went all the way there.”

New pictures from the film, published ahead of its premiere, depict Prince Harry (Jordan Dean) pleading with the future King of England to do more to prevent his wife Meghan’s (Sydney Morton) “horrific bullying” while arguing in a Kensington Palace garden, according to the Daily Mail.

William tells Harry in the film, “What causes problems isn’t colour, it’s culture. Meghan’s an American. She acts more like a celebrity than a Royal.”

In the on-screen brawl, an enraged Harry informs William that racism must be addressed.

‘You need to bloody well make a statement with me decrying racism. As future King, you need to push on this horrific bullying.

“For the last time, I agree diversity in the family is a good thing,” William, the future king, says.

Kate (played by Laura Mitchell) and Meghan (played by Sydney Morton) are both concerned about the fallout.

Harry is also shown arguing with Charles on the phone when he refuses to listen to his concerns.

The teaser for Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace sparked outrage earlier this month when it revealed that the film will include a dream scenario in which the Duchess of Sussex is injured in a vehicle accident identical to the one that killed Princess Diana.

The new film claims to go into the “real details” of Harry and Meghan’s choice to quit the royal family.

The brothers have been estranged since William reportedly kicked Harry and Meghan out of Kensington Palace in March 2019 over alleged staff bullying, prompting the Sussexes to disband their joint foundation and establish a new office at Buckingham Palace.

Meanwhile, in the actual world Harry famously told talk show host Oprah Winfrey that the monarchy has “trapped” his brother and father, and that he feels “really let down”. The royal family was also accused by Harry and Meghan of having “concerns” about “how dark” Archie’s complexion will be in the explosive interview.

Harry claimed that the Prince of Wales broke off communication with him when he decided to leave The Firm in a series of startling accusations. He described how his father refused to answer his phone calls as tensions in the family grew and their relationship deteriorated during his stay in Canada.
