Rumors of rifts, conflict, and tension between the Sussexes and the Cambridges may make for juicy headlines, but fresh reports claim that the fab four are as close as ever, with Kate Middleton even Zooming and FaceTiming her sister-in-law Meghan Markle so they can speak as she cooks.

Despite the hundreds of miles between the Sussexes’ house in Montecito and the Cambridges’ home in the United Kingdom, royal analyst Stewart Pearce told Us Weekly that the two brothers and their wives have been communicating often. Pearce told the magazine, “I know that the four are talking with one another and they’re talking by Zoom [and by] FaceTime. They’re very close with one another.” They’re so close, according to Pearce, that they reportedly chat away with “Kate cooking dinner in the kitchen” and Prince William “making cups of tea.”

He also stated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had opposing viewpoints to Prince William and Kate Middleton on several issues. Some people may see this as something that might lead to a dispute or conflict. They, on the other hand, value each other’s viewpoints.

He told Us, “Their lens on the world is highly individualized. And what’s remarkable is that they all totally respect [each other], but this lens is different.”

Pearce, who worked with Margaret Thatcher and the Roal Shakespeare Company before befriending Diana, has published “Diana The Voice of Change,” a book about their work together. It delves into her values and how, as a royal, she became “a force of liberation” before her tragic demise.

While there have been regular allegations of friction between the two couples over the last year, which were probably heightened at least partly by Meghan and Harry’s appearance with Oprah Winfrey in March, there have been significant life events that have brought them closer. For one thing, Prince Harry and Prince William’s adored grandpa Prince Philip died in April, and Lilibet Diana, the Sussexes’ daughter, arrived in June. The Cambridges greeted the news with “delight” on social media as soon as it was disclosed.

Pearce also weighed in on rumours that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle could collaborate on a Netflix project. It’s “stretching the imagination” he says, and both women “have defined roles that do not correspond.”

“I’m talking about the statement that they’re making individually as women. But Kate has her own specific role, which is very different from the way that Meghan has her own specific role,” he clarified.

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, and the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, have reconnected in recent months, according to a source, following the birth of Markle’s daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana, in June.

“[Kate’s] sending [notes and] gifts and trying to build up a relationship,” a source alleged.

For years, followers of the British royal family have been captivated by the brothers’ tumultuous relationship. In the October 2019 ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Harry initially indicated that he and the Duke of Cambridge were “on different paths.” He and the California native revealed their decision to stand down from their top royal posts a few months later.

In January 2020, a source told Us, “William was blindsided by Harry and Meghan’s decision and statement. William is incredibly hurt, but at the same time he has his own family to focus on and is trying to move forward with his life.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton are expected to make their talks with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as light as possible, according to Pearce. They don’t want to become involved in discussions concerning the Sussexes’ feud. Not because they do not care about them, but because “it’s not their responsibility to be involved in verbalising anything.” The Cambridges would rather “simply offer as much peace and tranquility and calm as possible.”
