The Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan has prompted Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan to speak out.

“We all feel the many layers of pain due to the situation in Afghanistan, we are left speechless,” the pair said on their website Archewell.

Prince Harry served with the British Army in Afghanistan on two tours and was inspired to establish the Invictus Games event for wounded servicemen and women after returning to the UK on a military transport jet carrying the dead and injured.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated, “The world is exceptionally fragile right now. As we all feel the many layers of pain due to the situation in Afghanistan, we are left speechless.”

They also commented on Haiti’s catastrophic disaster. “As we all watch the growing humanitarian disaster in Haiti, and the threat of it worsening after last weekend’s earthquake, we are left heartbroken,” the couple said.

“And as we all witness the continuing global health crisis, exacerbated by new variants and constant misinformation, we are left scared.

“When any person or community suffers, a piece of each of us does so with them, whether we realize it or not. And though we are not meant to live in a state of suffering, we, as a people, are being conditioned to accept it. It’s easy to find ourselves feeling powerless, but we can put our values into action—together.

“To start, we encourage you to join us in supporting a number of organizations doing critical work. We also urge those in positions of global influence to rapidly advance the humanitarian dialogues that are expected to take place this fall at multilateral gatherings such as the U.N. General Assembly and the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

“As an international community, it is the decisions we make now—to alleviate suffering among those we know and those we may never meet—that will prove our humanity.

In their article, the two suggested donating to eight groups, including Women for Afghan Women, the National Alliance on Mental Wellness, and Mercy Corps, a humanitarian organization based in Haiti.

In a fast and devastating rout, the terrorist organization seized control of Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Sunday. After two decades of US efforts to transform the area as part of its “war on terror,” the terrorist group finished their sweep of the beleaguered country as the Afghan government fell. The Taliban proclaimed an “amnesty” across Afghanistan on Tuesday, encouraging women to join their administration, a departure from the Taliban’s previous rule, when women were mostly restricted to their homes.

Harry has close ties with former soldiers, sailors, and air force members who served in the British Armed Forces and has a variety of connections with veteran organizations.

In a statement published by the Invictus Games Foundation, the Duke of Sussex asked veterans to “offer support for one another” in the aftermath of the Taliban’s resurgence in Afghanistan.

He stated in a joint statement with the foundation’s chair and CEO, “What’s happening in Afghanistan resonates across the international Invictus community.

“Many of the participating nations and competitors in the Invictus Games family are bound by a shared experience of serving in Afghanistan over the past two decades, and for several years, we have competed alongside Invictus Games Team Afghanistan.

“We encourage everybody across the Invictus network—and the wider military community—to reach out to each other and offer support for one another.”

The news came a strong earthquake that struck southwest Haiti on Saturday, killing over 1,000 people and damaging hundreds of houses. Following President Biden’s pullout of American troops, Taliban militants reclaimed control of Afghanistan’s capital on Sunday.

Obama should be on the bottom on any list. He was a lousy president spat on the Constitution of the United States. He got away with this for obvious reasons also. Thumbs down for him and put him at the bottom of this list.
