Meghan Markle worked in the entertainment business before joining the royal family, which is no secret. Meghan initially worked as a suitcase girl on Deal or No Deal before earning her career-making job on Suits.

Lisa Gleave, who worked as a suitcase girl alongside the Duchess of Sussex on Deal or No Deal, spoke out in a recent interview with Australia’s Gold Coast Bulletin about Meghan’s game show days.

She was a “quiet” Meghan, according to the former Deal or No Deal star, who was a far cry from the public speaker royal fans are familiar with today.

Meghan was described as “very sweet” by Lisa. Meghan was also adamant about being an actor. “I remember her being very focused on her acting career, and her role as a Briefcase Beauty, as we were called, was just a stepping stone in her career. She only did a few seasons and then landed her role in Suits, which took her away. I was so happy for her when I heard about the marriage,” Lisa continued.

Meghan has spoken about her time on Deal or No Deal, and Gleave’s views echo her own. “I would put that in the category of things I was doing while I was auditioning to try to make ends meet,” the duchess told Esquire in July 2013. She went on to say, “I went from working in the U.S. Embassy in Argentina to ending up on Deal. It’s run the gamut. Definitely working on Deal or No Deal was a learning experience, and it helped me to understand what I would rather be doing. So if that’s a way for me to gloss over that subject, then I will happily shift gears into something else.”

Meghan worked on Deal or No Deal between 2006 and 2007, before marrying Prince Harry and becoming a global phenomenon. She subsequently went on to star in seven seasons of Suits as Rachel Zane.

She appeared on the show for seven seasons before Prince Harry announced her engagement.

While the Australian beauty appears to be pleased of her time on the program, where she co-starred with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex appears to wish to keep the experience private.

Meghan’s Wikipedia page was even changed a few weeks before her relationship with Prince Harry became known.

The program will return to CNBC after nine years, and presenter Howie Mandel has spoken out on the royal in light of its return.

Meghan Markle married Prince Harry on May 19, 2018, and the couple has since had two children. The pair stood down from their positions last year.
