Anna Pasternak, a royal author, said Meghan Markle will never again enjoy the “unified respect and adoration of the British people” following her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan Markle’s return to the United Kingdom is very unlikely in light of the controversy produced by her and Prince Harry’s interview.

Since Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle disclosed intimate information about life within “the firm,” the British royal family has come under criticism. In a series of shocking media appearances, the pair defied tradition by revealing details about the royal family’s inner workings.

Meghan Markle will never return to the United Kingdom because of her feud with the Royal Family and her “low popularity” among the British public, according to a royal author.

The Sussexes made explosive disclosures as Meghan addressed her mental health fight and worries about racism in the Royal Family.

The 39-year-old recounted feeling “trapped” and suicidal during her time as a working royal.

“You couldn’t just go. You couldn’t. I mean, you have to understand, as well, when I joined that family, that was the last time, until we came here, that I saw my passport, my driver’s license, my keys,” she said.

“All that gets turned over. I didn’t see any of that any more.”

She said she and Harry were informed their son would not be given the title of prince and, as a result, would not be given security.

“The idea of the first member of color in this family not being titled in the same way that other grandchildren would be,” Meghan said. “It’s not their right to take it away.”

Harry’s surprise assaults on Prince Charles, including the claim that he moved his family to California to stop a cycle of “pain and suffering” after realizing Prince Charles “treated me the way he was treated.”

While the interview has mixed opinion in the UK, media coverage on the other side of the Atlantic has been more sympathetic.

According to royal analyst and author Anna Pasternak, who spoke to Fox News, the Duchess of Sussex’s return to the UK is very unlikely following the disaster produced by her and Harry’s appearance with Oprah Winfrey.

“Will Meghan Markle return to the UK? My speculative answer would be no, not if she can help it,” she said.

“Sadly, I cannot see her ever becoming a loved and cherished member of the Royal Family with the unified respect and adoration of the British people. I think that ship has sailed,” she went on to say.

“Many people feel the interview was a total lack of respect for the monarchy and in a sense, for the British. Because the monarchy is part of the British psyche,” Pasternak said.

“So this monarchy bashing can also be viewed as British bashing,” she added.

“And from personal knowledge, it is understood that Prince Charles, Prince William, Duchess Kate Middleton and the Queen – they were just so shocked and saddened by [the allegations].”

The harm done to his family and the continuous uproar may indicate that the schism is widening. However, Prince Harry claims that he has a wonderful connection with his grandmother. So much so that he called his daughter Lilibet Diana after the family’s nickname for Queen Elizabeth.

The royals are notorious for keeping family issues private as much as possible, so the decision to talk with Oprah will not have gone down well with The Firm.

A YouGov poll conducted the day after the interview broadcast found that 44 percent of US respondents thought the interview was appropriate, compared to just 21 percent of British adults.
