Millions of people across the world tuned in to see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s beautiful wedding at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018, however the Queen was surprised that she chose the color white for her dress.

“The Queen is said to have expressed surprise that Meghan, a divorcee, wore quite such a white dress for her wedding,” a royal insider told the Mail on Sunday.

Meghan Markle arrived at Prince Harry’s wedding looking stunning in a dazzling white off-the-shoulder gown created by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy.

In 2018, Markle’s wedding dress cost around $265,000. Today, that would be $276,000.

While she looked lovely, the Queen was allegedly surprised by Meghan’s choice of color, given that she was a divorcee, and the color generally represents purity.

According to a recent article in The Daily Mail, the Queen was taken aback by Meghan’s choice of a white gown for her wedding, despite the fact that she had previously been (gasp!) married.

However, the Queen did not hold it against her, as she allowed the former actress permission to wear the color.

Despite the accusations, Meghan, 37, is thought to have given Her Maj a sneak view of the dress for permission a few days before the wedding.

Keep in mind that Queen Elizabeth is reported to have been dissatisfied with Meghan’s overall attire, and palace officials are believed to have told her to “start dressing less like a Hollywood star and more like a Royal.”

Meghan has had to become acquainted with various royal customs since joining The Firm earlier this year.

However, it appears that the Queen may have eased some of these traditions, particularly for Meghan and Harry’s wedding.

It is customary for the best man and host to offer the remarks at royal weddings.

Meghan, on the other hand, was permitted to deliver her own speech, in which she is claimed to have praised her mother Doria and in-laws for their help.
