In February Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently revealed that they are expecting their second child, a sibling for Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. The British royal family quickly expressed their “delighted,” at the news, and now Meghan’s father is also congratulating the expectant parents, according to The Mirror.

The pair posted a black-and-white photo of themselves beneath a tree, with a shoeless Harry, 36, laying his hand on Meghan’s head while she cradles her belly.

Following the news, Thomas, 71, told CBS TV’s Inside Edition that he wants to meet his grandkids.

“I wish Meghan and Harry a successful, healthy birth,” Thomas Markle recently told CBS TV’s “Inside Edition.” “I hope some day I get to see my grandchildren,” said the 76-year-old, who has yet to meet his son-in-law Prince Harry or his royal grandson Archie.

Now the baby is here, Lilibet Diana.

Thomas, who has previously said that he believes he is nearing the end of his life, spoke for the first time from his home in Rosarito, Mexico, after the couple announced the joyful news of Lili’s birth on Sunday.

Trending:

Meghan hasn’t talked to Thomas since before her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

He was unable to attend the royal wedding since it occurred only weeks after he had heart surgery, and it was Harry’s father, Prince Charles, who escorted her down the aisle.

Thomas, who is clinically obese and has a heart problem and lung difficulties, said in court that he worried he would “die tomorrow.”

Court case:

Meghan won a privacy battle in the High Court after a British tabloid published excerpts from a letter she sent to her father.

In response to the victory, Thomas said, “I am disappointed about this decision from the judge.

“I am the one who went to the newspapers with this information and with this letter. They didn’t come to me, I went to them. And I went to them to give them part of this letter to defend myself against People magazine. So I don’t know how you can make a judgment until you have spoken to those people and me,” Thomas said. The Duchess maintains a strong connection with her mother Doria, who pays frequent visits to the Sussexes at their new residence.

In a statement, Meghan said the victory was “a victory for all” because “we all deserve justice and truth, and we all deserve better.”
