Khloé Kardashian has provided an update on her “challenging” surrogacy procedure as she embarks on her second pregnancy.

During the second half of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion, the 36-year-old confessed that finding a surrogate to deliver her kid has been a ‘challenging’ process.

Khloe likened her experience to that of her 40-year-old sister Kim, who had previously employed a surrogate.

“It’s a very tedious, hard process. And it was interesting because Kim went through the journey, and I swear it felt like she said, ‘I want to get pregnant,’ and two weeks later she found a surrogate,” Khloé compared her experience to that of her sister Kim Kardashian, who had her two youngest children via surrogacy.

“It’s a lot to do with COVID,” Khloé said, referring to her personal difficulties with the procedure during the pandemic. “I did have one and then it fell through. There’s so many tests they have to do and all these things. So I’m still on that journey. It’s just, I thought it would be a much easier process. And it’s not. It’s challenging for me.”

They agreed to have another kid, but Khloe warned that if she became pregnant again, it would be a high-risk pregnancy.

As she began her search for a suitable surrogate, she admitted that it was difficult to find someone who met her criteria, admitting that while reviewing the applicants’ portfolios, she rejected some for minor reasons, such as the music they liked, concerned that it might indicate a specific lifestyle.

Khloé said on Twitter in May that everyone’s experience is unique, particularly since Kim had two great surrogacy experiences: “Watching my sister go through her surrogacy journey it seemed so seamless and easy. maybe it is for some people. My journey has been a lot more intense and grueling but still a huge blessing.”

“My own sister went through the surrogacy journey and I thought I knew so much about it,” she said in a subsequent tweet at the time. “I realized I was very naïve to the process until I embarked on my own journey. Every journey is different.”

When asked whether she trusts Tristan, Khloe told Andy Cohen, ‘I mean, I definitely trust him as a friend and all those things… What I need to find out, everything comes my way. I just need to trust and focus on today and go day by day. I can’t worry too much about everything else.

She said: “I know the growth and all the work that he’s done, I know all of the help that he’s gotten and the constant efforts that he makes every single day and how hard he fought to get back with me currently.

“I mean, you can ask everyone, it really wasn’t an easy thing for him.

“I don’t understand why someone would go through all that if they weren’t serious.”

Meanwhile, Khloe is reported to be glad Tristan is back in Los Angeles this week, and she spent Father’s Day with him on Sunday.
