Prince Harry ‘wants apology’ from royal family over treatment of Meghan Markle

Prince Harry is seeking an apology from the Royal Family for the treatment of his wife Meghan Markle.

According to the Mirror, Prince Harry has been flexing his muscles, requesting a royal apology for his and Meghan Markle’s cold and reportedly racist treatment of his wife after their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Prince Harry paid his first visit to the United Kingdom after stepping down from the royal family to attend Prince Philip’s funeral, which he did without his pregnant wife. According to Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler, Harry is “totally torn,” after returning to his home country and seeing his family for the first time in more than a year. The long-serving Palace employee added that his “heart is on two sides of the Atlantic,”

When a member of ‘The Firm’ allegedly asked how dark Archie’s skin would be before he was born, the Duke of Sussex allegedly became enraged.

Then there’s the fact that Meghan was made to cry by Kate Middleton after a bridesmaid dress fitting for her and Harry’s wedding in May 2018. The Duchess of Cambridge, as Kate is known, apologized to the Duchess of Sussex, for the offence.

“Harry now feels split in two,” Burrell, who has known Harry since he was three years old and spent a decade working with Diana, said in an interview with Closer. “Meghan will believe that what they’ve done is right—but Harry will be feeling totally torn and so things will now have to change.”

The Duchess, who had suicidal thoughts while pregnant, also said that the Palace refused to help her with her mental health.

Meghan Markle, on the other hand, is said to have been less than polite as she received Kate Middleton’s apology bouquet. In a petulant fit, Harry’s new wife is alleged to have thrown the flowers in the garbage.

“Harry still feels a great deal of anger towards the Royal Family,” a royal source told Best Life, “but coming back to the U.K. for the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral after his long absence made him realize he is now very much the outsider. Even though he wants to reconcile with Prince William and Prince Charles, he also wants something from the family he is unlikely to receive.”

“The problem with Harry is that he’s hooked on being right and regardless of saying he wants to move on from this,” the source claimed.

“He won’t back down until he gets some form of apology from his family.”

In a March interview with Oprah Winfrey, the prince shared his displeasure with how many incidents surrounding Meghan had been mishandled, causing her a lot of discomfort.

Currently, there is only one official comment from Buckingham Palace about the Oprah Winfrey interview, in which it is mentioned that the Royal Family will consider Meghan and Harry’s concerns.

They said they would be “taken very seriously” and “addressed privately by the family.”

During their talks directly after the Oprah interview, Harry may have pressured Prince William and Prince Charles to apologise to him and Meghan Markle.

“Even though Harry has spoken to his father and brother about a way forward, he is still not satisfied,” a royal source told Best Life. “He is not willing to forget about everything that’s happened and it’s doubtful Meghan would let it go without a direct acknowledgement from the family that everything she said did happen.”

Harry accepted a new position as chief impact officer at BetterUp, a Silicon Valley behavioral health company, last month. Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals last year, this is his first official job at a private firm.

The duke has been candid about his own mental health issues, including the long-term depression he has felt after his mother, Princess Diana, died when he was a child.

Meghan, 39, has been lauded by health organizations for speaking out about her stay in the palace during her marriage to Prince Harry.

People published news of a private phone call between Meghan, one-year-old Archie, and the Queen before Prince Philip’s funeral. At the same time, Omid Scobie, co-author of Harry and Meghan’s Finding Freedom biography, announced Meghan had talked to the Queen twice. “Saturday broke the ice for future conversations,” Scobie cited sources as saying, “but outstanding issues have not been addressed at any great length. The family simply put their issues to one side to focus on what mattered.”  However, it was later discovered that during Harry’s tour, no progress had been achieved.

According to the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle’s nemesis Piers Morgan has stated that Harry should apologise for being racist.

Morgan said: “I have met the royals many times and I don’t believe they are racist at all. In fact, the only member of the royal family who has had to publicly apologize for being racist is Prince Harry, who a few years ago had to apologize after using a deeply offensive racist term about a Pakistani soldier, that he was working with. And he used other racial slurs as well in that story which was published by a British tabloid.”

The largest roadblock to peace with William and Charles was their fear that anything they did or said in private would be reported to the media by the Sussex camp, according to a source. “Now it appears that’s happened again.”

According to a source close to Harry, no matter what happens, he will still be faithful to his wife and son. “Of course [Harry] loves his family, but he adores his wife and son and feels highly protective of them. None of this will become a problem for Meghan, she will keep forging ahead and the royals are going to have to come up with a way of dealing with that,” the source said. “Harry will always side with Meghan.”
